Let's talk about Venus

Right now Venus is in the sky at dusk and it looks huge. Venus is said to be the same size as Earth yet with it actually being slightly farther than the sun right now it definitely seems too big. By all accounts its should be a mere spec of light but it's not. By my eye if you were to lay 20 planets of Venus side by side that's all it would take to go across the Suns diameter which is way less than what it should be. So either the sun is smaller than we're told (which is doubtful) or Venus is much bigger than we're told. Don't believe me at dusk look to the northwestern night sky tonight and see for yourself.
