Re: Why do humans fear death?
We are the only 'creature' in nature that fears death, why?

..is this the reason we are soo easy to control and manipulate?

.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68755980

humans fear death because we are all given a conscience by the Lord, to know right from wrong, and we know in our inner most man, that to reject Jesus Christ so we can keep seeking temporary and fleeting pleasure in sin when we know its going to result in our being slung into eternity and damnation without ever having a second chance, that to die in sins without repenting means burning in hell, and NEVER GETTING OUT, that is a God given fear, for your own benefit. Because if you are fool enough to believe you never have to answer for your sins, then every esoteric here should just be jumping off cliffs daily, when bills are due, or cancer comes, or your spouse leaves you for their secretary, why not just end it? Get a BRAND NEW LIFE???? Get rid of the drama, and start all over? you "instantly get reborn" .... Well that's a lie. And your inner man knows this. Romans is clear: " It is appointed for a man to die just once. And after this, the Judgment"
 Quoting: psalm119

I'm sorry but that is CONTROL through the FEAR of death. (man made)
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68755980

op, I don't know if you are male or female, but I know this: you have some serious sin in your life. I'd say sexual. And that is for starters. Not even going to touch the lying. But know this. The bible is perfectly clear that animals do not have souls. They have the breath of God. So no, they don't have to answer to sin, because they are not individual souls, with a God given conscience. And God is in control, whether you like it or not. And He is Holy and Just. You WILL answer for every sin when you take your last breath. Repenting and trusting in Jesus Christ doesn't mean you can never have sex or eat good food or have alcoholic drinks. It means you agree to let Jesus be the One you follow, and leave it up to Him. He not only protects you and sets you free, He will give you the spouse of your dreams, the job you never thought you could handle, the desires you thought you were never good enough yo have. He not only makes you a new creature here on earth, He gives you an eternity of joy and power and unlimted love in eternity. Think about it. I am praying for you. Look at all these threads, Op. Time is so short. Don't gamble anymore

Bingo. A better question would be ... Why is there an unrelenting effort by our masters to make us fear death?

good question.

I think the answer is about having better control over the people.

Re: Why do humans fear death?
The bible is clear. We are here first and foremost to honor God. Then we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. Anyone who acknowledges Jesus is Lord but will not follow His commands (which are NOT hard) then the love of the Father does not abide in them. They will have no place in the Kingdom. And if you attack this, its because you have sexual sin in your life, or there is hatred in your heart. Those attacking what the Lord says are angry because they don't want to let go of sin in their lives. And that sin is largely sexual. I know this world makes it hard to try to stay with, but the Lord says save your body for your wife or husband . Not one night stands. And not friends with benefits. And definitely not someone you move in with, when you aren't married first.
 Quoting: psalm119

Ever thought about what "sin" means? Ever thought about why sleeping around is considered a sin? Would you be able to explain the actually "spiritual" meaning of it with your own words or is it to you because "the lord says"??
Can you explain the spiritual reason and definition of marriage? Today, most marriages are meaningless in the spiritual point of view.
But also, many couples today are living in a way which "fulfills" a "marriage" spiritually without ever getting wed
 Quoting: °Lucy°

The Lord is clear: when He says "Don't......." ...He means Don't hurt yourself. One night stands, friends with benefits, sleeping with exes and moving in with someone who has no committed obligation to you in the eyes of our Holy and Righteous Creator. You are in sexual sin. You come as close to you can as trying to capture a Scripture given by your Holy Creator in your glp signature, but you can't really quote the Lord, because you are in sin. And coming close but still rejecting Him, come your Judgment Day, will not be enough to escape the Lake of Fire.

Seriously, you're trying to tell the OP that he has serious sins in his life, sexual problems, and calling him a liar, but you're trying to veil it under a definition of 'rebuke'. You're not criticizing his behavior or actions (a rebuke) because you DON'T know them, or him.... you are, quite frankly, doling out unfounded judgement upon someone you don't know a thing about because you don't like that his point of view is different from yours. And FFS, what difference does it make if OP is male or female??????? The question means something different depending on the gender asking?????

Your answer apparently lacks humanity;
You seem to have very little capacity for compassion;
Your words appear sneaky and your motivation appears to be driven by FEAR. It seems your tongue is forked.

OP's initial question is a damn good question....
Your answer, however, sucks IMO.

Re: Why do humans fear death?
Death is not the problem.

its the "how"of death that worries most people.

we all die eventually.

its how we die I think people really fear.

personally id like to go quick..and taken by surprise.

Dont mistake doctrine for spirituality! You have to understand Creation. Many are mindlessly quoting scripture over scripture, without even attempt to understand. Creation and Creator is Love, no punishment or judgment... everyone was given free will - judgement doesn't come by the creator, actually it comes by yourself. But you have to understand to see. To blinded by doctrines and scriptures. Its sad really.
Understand Creation, its purpose and meaning and you will see.
