I agree that he is entitled to free speech however he was not a lowly bookkeeper in his organization. CFO's are part of top management and they are expected to represent the company in a very positive manner. A large part of the job of the top management function is promote positive public relations for the corporation. He failed miserably in this regard and had to "fall on the sword" for the corporation, albeit that he was pushed on the sword. Just a guess, but I have a feeling that TPTB had been looking for an excuse to get rid of this guy and he handed it to them on a silver platter.

Oh, trust me, I know. I've worked fast food, grocery stores, and in state run nursing homes. Employees are treated like garbage and expected to just take it all with a smile on their face.
