Wow. Offering to help when you're a guest in someone's house is just common courtesy. This wasn't a date - this was two days of him cooking her breakfast, lunch and dinner, etc. and she never offered to help. That's just low class and trashy. If I even go to a dinner at someone's house, I always bring a gift or wine for the host as well and offer to help clear the table.

It's not about expectations, it's about caring and being thoughtful. On our third date, my bf noticed my car headlight was out, and he insisted we go to the auto parts store so he could fix it. I didn't expect that, but what a great impression. When we cook dinner, I also help him do the dishes and tidy up and vice/versa. He doesn't expect it. I want to.
