Happened to tune in today on this show and Dr Phil interviewing a couple wherein the boyfriend/husband is
a pathological liar.

Dr. Phil detailed the lies this man has told to this girlfriend/wife from over a period of years including the charge by the byfrnd/husband even charged his partner with kidnapping over states lines of one of their children.
Other lies were just tremendous confabulations almost too
hard to believe in some cases.

I'm not a big fan of Dr Phil and most likely his show serves some kind of purpose of which I do not know because I don't follow the show so whatever I saw today is pretty much how he deals with people's deep underlying problems.

I was very interested in watching the reactions of this chap being in the hot seat when confronted by Dr. Phil who had
been lying since the age of 6 and now in his early 30 something.

His body language centering around his face was truly revealing- flushing, some eyetwitching, cheek muscle twitching and lip movement but most of all flushing.
That guy's blood pressure must have been sky-high after
being publicly confronted esp on tv.

After hearing Dr. Phil slam & slam again this horrible behavior of this individual I started to feel sorry the
lad.

Somehow it seemed to me there was something in his infancy , and young childhood and how his parents treated him as a young child and his family dynamics at the time that created this monster of lying shame to cause him lifelong masochistic humiliation on being found out.
The other problem was the gf/wife-she was too stupid in
love to assert her own reality even for the sake of her children against this guy.

Pathological lying is not something that you just "do" it's a behavior with origins in the psyche.

It was painful to watch .

I hope he gets the help he needs.
