no! choppers!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67975097

The US Military doesn't have anything larger than a Chinook when it comes to helicopters. So, is it possible they were Ospreys?
 Quoting: FLUFFY PUPPY

no they were choppers!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67975097

Did you see them too?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67537415

I didn't think so either. But I've seen chinooks over here many times and this was longer and louder. Not a plane either.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67537415

Osprey?
 Quoting: Strike

Nah...osprey may have a "wingspan" but apparently it's only 17m in length in comparison to chinooks 30meters.

Re: Heavy Military traffic in Air over Georgia USA
On Saturday I was driving south on I95 through GA. Saw many (dozens) of military vehicles headed north bound on I95. They were all coming from Ft. Stewart. I probably saw close to 100 Uparmored Humvees, HMMTs, etc. When I got to my destination I googled FT. Stewart to see what was going down. They (the 3rd Infantry Division) is part of the rotation of troops headed over to Europe/ Ukraine/ the Russian border. That's all I can really add to this, hope it helps.

Yes we do. It is the Sikorsky CH/MH 53. I worked on the MH-53E during my enlistment.

It is the largest helicopter in the free world. And Harriers are not that big.

Could it be the S-64 Skycrane? Also known as CH-54 in US Army?

High possibility that was it. It was so loud and deep sounding that you would think it had twin props.

That one was a huge prop that could make that kind of rumble.

Some were stealth with no lights.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67537415

Most likely the MH-53J variant, known as the Pave Low. These are used in the SpecOps community and are outfitted with all the necessary provisions to go in dark (no lights).

Had not seen any larger than a chinook until tonight.

They were very long choppers that shook the ceiling fans in our home, even though they were quite a way up in the sky.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67537415

What kind of helicopter is larger than a chinook? I never saw one before in my life and dreamed about them 3 times in a row. I didn't even know what they were until I looked them up on the internet. In my dream I thought it looked like a plane without wings LOL.

Anyways, in the dream (I had 3 of them) after I saw the strange helicopters the shit would hit the fan.

So anyways the other day a chinook flew over my house. I've lived here for decades and have never saw one. They do shake your house.

I live in Henry County and have seen several abnormal aircraft in the last few months. This includes a pair of CH-53E Super Stallions and V-22 Ospreys.
