They get the insurance payoff or government pay off. last year the Federal government insured 120 billion dollars worth of US farmer's crops. you would think they would not need to use all the GMO and toxic pesticides if they are guaranteed and get a bail out even if the crops fail. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18533994 In US they farm 3.6 million square miles to feed population of 300 million people. US uses farmlands 40 times less efficiently than India to feed the population. And a large percentage of the rest of the world, moran. Want to exert U.S. power? Stop exporting food for six months and see what happens. Think before you post, idiot. Facts are your friend. Quoting: TripleH The crop damage area could increase with the India Meteorological Department forecast of unseasonal rain starting March 28 toward eastern India, followed by hail and thunderstorms from March 29 onward over north, northwest and central India stemming from a 'western disturbance', putting further pressure on farmers. The previous bout of rain had hit large tracts of land under wheat, mustard, yellow peas, potato and other horticulture crops. Meanwhile, California's crop lands are withering away due to a lack of rain. Planet Earth must be run by a retard. |

Sure that is an economic loss that might cause farmers some hard times, but mustard is not a significant dietary component. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68792244 Lol. The mustard/rapeseed crop isn't for putting on hot dogs, it's used to produce cooking oil and other stuff. It's a growing and hugely profitable crop and important for the economy. As I said. |

The crop lands in Cali also dried out because of the devastating collapse of the aquifers due to extensive fracking for mass natural gas production. That's what you get when you treat the land and the seas as commodities for mass-exploitation... you get mass-destruction and mass-death. Idiots. |

Quoting: ZX 61841965 Only fools and others who can't see the truth, can argue over this not being true and deny it. You're a bigot with a paper-thing perception of the world. It's not overpopulation it's mass-indusrialization. Why did so many people concentrated in California? To make big money and have success. Most of the West Coast has a low population density, putting California aside, because they weren't as valued for accumulating prosperity as this golden State. The entire colonial-industrial project of the USA is to blame, not "overpopulation". |
