Three Things I Thought Would Happen by NOW, As An American Child in th 1970s...

As an introspective, not-too-terribly-bratty, elemntary school child in the 1970s (yes, I'm old, thanks), I had expectations as far as what would do down in the good ol' USA.

Here are three things, I thought were sure things... yet they didn't come to pass.


1. California would be gone. It would "sink into the ocean" via a massive earthquake.

2. We'd all be using the metric system.

3. Solar power would be our main source for electricity.


USA -- I'll have you know, you haven't met my expectations.
