Out of respect for the OP I won't post how I really feel about Russia's presence n the Arctic. Suffice it to say the Russians are aggressively maneuvering in areas as if they belong to Russia-they do not. Once again, we see the Russians gladly Playing the role of the victim. THey are not.

I am in Western North Carolina, and for the last hour the jets have been flying over ...it actually sounds like thunder. This is unusual. Anyone else?

I'm in central South Carolina and hearing actual thunder right now but I have observed a drastic increase in military air activity over the past few weeks.

I thought it was thunder at first, so I went outside...jets.

We fly reconnaissance near Russia all the time in international air space. Nothing abnormal for them to do the same near us. Move along...

Spring time is training time. We have a glutton of JP-5, and in conjunction with the overall world outlook this sure does bring an uptick in manoeuvring from the us military.

Packs of helicopters at the moment here. 3-4 per pack. At least 5 have gone over.

You do know the military upgrades things right? Just because the frame and engines are old, doesn't mean all the dials are still analog... Also, our bombs are smart now.
