Thumpers are making they extraordinary claims, they have the obligation to prove them, not the other way around.

It's virtually impossible to disprove something that supposedly happened 10 or so thousand years ago with any degree of accuracy.

We can determine it to be incredibly improbable - certainly not a deserving of a blind cult following - but to 100% DISPROVE it?

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

There is nothing extraordinary about saying snakes don't talk, your book has been edited and abridged for control and content as evidenced by being a VERSION of the 'truth' (the truth has no versions, it is singular, so the fact that you take a VERSION as THE word should be your first clue), or that dudes don't fare well in whales or great fish, even.

That being said, you haven't said anything original or non-regurgitated from a holy book or religion recruiting guidelines in this thread yourself - indeed, asking for originality while spouting antiquated religious nonsense is a bit hypocritical.

Also pretending to be a representative of religions that preach love while saying you care 0% about those you are engaging is kind of representative of the mindset that so many atheists/agnostics have come to reject in increasingly greater numbers.

lol listen, I came to this thread to agree with OP. If you know my work you know I'm not at all a standard Christian and have many, many problems with areas of the Bible. I do not pretend to be a representative of anything except my personal insight and opinion.

As a true atheist I believe strongly in science. Science has never failed me and I also strongly believe in eugenics. Survival of the fittest is the prime thing about evolution. As a true atheist I believe that all women who suffer from genetic disorders of any kind, should be banned from procreating and banned from raising a family. I have a hard time believing in God because of all this suffering in the world. We have science that cures people using medicines. I also strongly believe that we all should legally sign an agreement purging the weak ones among us (the blind, deaf, and mentally handicapped). If there was a God than we would find him or it in science by now. Billions of years of evolution proves that human beings hold onto primitive religious practices because they fear the unknown. As a true atheist I strongly believe that world peace would be possible if we all just accept evolution. Cancers can be fixed if we just remove the undesirables from our world. The world population is too high and most of them don't even have good genetic stock to reproduce with. As a true atheist I know that I will never go to hell and never experience the big man in the sky, so we most all become like this and embrace science.

You want genetically deficient women banned from procreation but don't expand this to men - men who can contribute far more genetically deficient offspring to the gene pool in a lifetime than an equal number of genetically deficient women.

And while you may have religious views that vary from 'standard' christianity, they are still obviously rooted in it - disagreements with the modern bibles doesn't inherently mean disagreeing with the idea of the deity of the bible - it is more indicative in believing that the god of the bible is a reality but that perhaps its words have been manipulated by man.

Your inferences in this thread have spoken louder than your actual words.
