Very unusual ....

Why aren't we seeing a similar type of thing at daylight , then it all looks quiet and normal ..Is something being added at night time when the park is empty .We can't see anyone but something is definately going on at night ..

i said it should be car lights though i dont know how close the parking is

Yes but that can't account for what we are looking at with the brightness of the lights and it seems to stop near dawn ...Are they artificial lights ie if it was a car it would have to show up on the cam ..

I dont think there is a road (for cars) in all the area we can see from the camera. The road must be behind the camera but i dont know how far behind.
Btw, i would like to know if the paths around there (the pavements were people walk in the park) have any damages or if they change them often)

Then cars can be written out of the equation as the strength of the lights are in one place only and not veering off ..Is there any artificial lights that are solar powered (very doubtful as we can't see anyone picking them up near dawn) it just boils down to the light is coming from the Geysers ...The pavements are changed regular I should imagine before they can be examined professionally by anyone not on the payroll..

it COULD be that they are deliberately shining 4x4 lights across the camera shot to make us believe the whole phenomena is man made

it would be incredibly dangerous for anyone to be walking around in the dark in that area

i reckon magma is getting closer and closer to the surface, still kilometres down, obviously, but inching up, and as it does it is pushing various constituent gases ahead of it, and the most volatile of them are flaming off as they react with the oxygen in the air. that's what i reckon, anyway. hopefully wrongly.

I think the orange suits are as NPS said,,

as for the lights its some one, walking around with a headlamp or flashlight As seen from a distance. Haven't you all ever went hiking or hunting in the night ? Its the same effect you will see with someone in the distance walking, it appears to flash but its not, its just the light moving up and down and angels changing as someone walks.

The funny thing is you cannot Hide An imminent eruption. There is no cover story in the world going to make that seem like anything else. Violent Frequent earthquakes, earthquake lights, animals flying and running away. I don't meant like a few hundred I am speaking about every single one, That is a few thousand well. Birds taking flight and literally covering the skies. Gasses changing the color of the sky and killing anything that inhales it, Lakes boiling over etc etc etc.

And especially the earthquake likes, Given Yellowstone I think these lights and lightening balls would literally light up the place. And all this will happen so fast they would not even have time to event start to try to cover it up, they will be to buys evacuating people, stocking up on food, procuring shelter, medicine, sourcing doctors, providing security, dispatching the army because of the sheer panic and stupid humans don't make a good combination. It would become and excuse to Hurt people, steal and just plain wickedness and lawlessness.

Given taking all that into account maybe they should try and cover it up.

Ok forget the lights in the front (the ones that light up the whole areas), i believe these are different.

The lighting in the left back of the video and photos, is an area that has been more active lately with a couple of vaults with big eruptions (but not the sames that get lighted in the video). These there, must be 2 new small geysers, and the light "dances" on the water as they erupt.

I primarily agree with Dark. As I saw it there were three light phenomena to account for.

I'm presuming that it was overcast to some degree, so some light from the full moon was intermittently shining onto the tops of the billowing plumes, which seemed very plumy.

To the left of the frame was a fairly regularly flashing beam of light that would shine onto a frequently dense plume. It looked to me the way I would expect if somewhere fairly nearby there was a fairly steady stream of traffic coming to a stop light.

Rather than thinking of the car headlight beam sweeping across the scene, visualize a gap in a fence or between trees. As the car headlights sweep across the gap, you get a short quick sweeping pulse, that seemed to pause occasionally until the traffic light changed and the cars sweep over the gap again.

I have no idea if it was actually cars causing the light, that's just a way of describing the qualities of the phenomena as I saw it.

The third phenomena I suspect was as Dark said headlamps or flashlights. These were very transient, tending to be brighter, and seemed to sweep in a fairly narrow beam across the changing plumes.

To be honest, my cynical first thought was, "Oh, well of course they'd plant the nuke at night."

I don't really believe that though.

Dark, I agree with you that in all probability the signs of an eminent eruption could not be hidden, and haven't occurred. However, as we've seen with the Chilean volcano, large ones do occasionally erupt with virtually no warning.

"Eminent" has a slightly different meaning to GLP YellowstoneTards though. I doubt anyone expects an eruption later today, or even next week. We're looking for signs that it might erupt within the next six months, or a year.

So earthquake clusters, or changes in the geysers behavior, animal reactions, all of that kind of stuff is grist for the mill for us. Many of us have seen periods of increasing activity that concerned us, luckily they obviously subsided. Somewhat.

Today for the first time i saw what is on the right side of the usual screen the Old Faithful camera shows. The camera turned to follow an old couple climbing up the hill there on the right

They reminded me of of something I posted last spring, shooting out gasses as if a cannon, only tonight...3X in quick succession. I could not capture that one. This occurred between 12:01 and 12:06 EST, maybe before and after...I when posting

Does anyone know if there is any type of compatible recording app or web page, so you can record the livestream while it's on and save the clip? That way we could always go back over them via timestamps - because I'd love to monitor this but can't sit staring at the screen all day only to take a screenshot or two, much rather catch it in action.

Its back up Ostria1 ...That must have been what I was looking at yesterday morning EM I wondered what they were ......Can anyone look up and see the consistancy of them ...and how when they ocur during the volcano cycle ...As you can see I can barely think let alone spell at the moment .......

The glow is actually the light from the combustion of sulfuric gases, Grunewald explained.

Those gases emerge from cracks in the volcano at high pressure and temperature—up to 1,112°F (600°C). When they come in contact with the air, they ignite, sending flames up to 16 feet (5 meters) high.

Some of the gases condense into liquid sulfur, "which continues to burn as it flows down the slopes," said Grunewald, "giving the feeling of lava flowing."

So looking at it the gas is sulfuric igniting with the contact of air ....Interesting there isn't many but I wonder if this will multiply ...

I remember last year when we were seeing different colors in the gaseous glows...trying to figure out 'what gas' for each color.

I am still trying to find a definite report for this, as opposed to the color of flames as gases are burning.

On the Yellowstone cam last year, I saw blues, white and yellow color rising high within the steam...and only once, a red color low to the ground at a particular geyser.

As we continue to watch, I think it would be interesting to be able to have a clue...should we see colors again.
