Eric Harris died last week after Reserve Deputy Robert Bates, 73, mistakenly grabbed his service weapon — believing it was his Taser — and shot him as he attempted to assist with the arrest.

In the video, provided to the New York Daily News, a body-cam captures an officer in a foot pursuit of Harris who is subsequently tackled in the street.

As the officer instructs Harris to roll onto his stomach, a gun shot is heard.

Bates can be heard, saying, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry,” as Harris yells, “He shot me!’ while another officer is heard saying, “You f*cking ran.”

WRONG-WRONG-WRONG

From a retired policeman.

Cops on occasion must be Judge,Jury and executioner.

One of my last radio calls before I retired:

" Suspect with a gun just robbed and beat two males victims
pistol whipping one"

A further broadcast came out " suspect last seen running in the canal under the freeway.I went to where I suspected the armed suspect will pop up from the canal and as I arrived I saw the suspect who fit the description as broadcast,he ran across an open field jumped an 8 foot fence and started running up a hill-This area was a senior citizen retirement
complex and I was concerned about the suspect taking a hostage if cornered. I pulled up under a carport and saw the saw suspect running up the hill about 40 yards away- he turned toward me with one arm pointing down hill as if to shoot at me so I shot him, knocking him down, He did not die. He recovered from his wound and shortly after leaving the hospital he pull a robbery with a shot gun while out on bail.

Being well trained is part of what is missing in today's law enforcement. The above incident happened in the mid 1990's.

SO was I right or wrong? I know you cop haters out there will say I should have let him shoot me-what say you others?

Hey copper...

Why not just let legal (and documented) US citizens exercise their 2nd amendment rights without getting butt raped by the law enforcement and the legal system if they even brandish a firearm?

Ever heard of point P.O.S. as in Point of Sale? How about Point of Solution. Or, Point of Shoot? Anyone?

The tried and true mantra of LEO's across the nation is, "I fired because I was in fear of my life."

The problem is that you guys are lionized because everyday you allegedly face death and danger. So, as soon as you clock in, you have a license to kill as you are already in fear of your lives.

Judges are corrupt and juries are intentionally kept ignorant of the law when rendering verdicts and recommending sentences. Yeah, great system.

Here's due process in a cop's mind: you don't DO what I say and (in the Akhmed the Terrorist voice) "I KILL YOU!"

These last few incidents/videos will provide the catalyst for a summer of riots, racially motivated attacks, the collapse of society and eventually the federalization of local law enforcement and then finally martial law.

Police today are profiled for this disposition. They are trained to respond like this. They have been enabled by our federal government to become what you are seeing on an almost daily basis now. They are being setup, so that they can be taken down.

I always told people that before the end of Obama's 2nd term, this entire county will look and function completely different than is does now. This summer and fall will be the turning point for our free society. The stage is set, the scenes have played out, the audience has been bewitched and the final curtain is about to raise.

Peelian Principles

7.
To maintain at all times a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and that the public are the police, the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.

this guy did not appear to be near an old folks home.
he was shot.
for running.

police seem to determine who will live or who will die these days, depending on who is target practice.

NOTICE THE RACE OF THE VICTIM! NOT BLACK. So it is equal opportunity to be killed.
