Bakersfield, Calif., Senior Officer Aaron Stringer is alleged to have told a fellow officer that he "loves playing with dead bodies," the Bakersfield Californian reported. Victim Ramiro James Villegas was in the morgue lying under a bloodied white sheet when another officer saw Stringer grab the dead man's face and try to open his mouth more than once. This all happened after Villegas was shot and killed by police Nov. 23 following a high-speed chase, the Bakersfield Californian reported. Stringer then went to the morgue where he looked at Villegas' wounds, touched the dead man's feet and said "tickle, tickle," according to a statement made by another officer and obtained by the Bakersfield Californian. He then tugged on a toe and noted that rigor mortis had yet to set in. One of the officers witnessing Stringer's behaviour reported him. Villegas' family has filed a lawsuit against the city.
