GAME CHANGER: Russia approves delivery of S-300 missiles to Iran

Iran has been waiting nearly a decade for this moment.

The Western world powers have been staunchly against Iran getting these missiles for the same reason that Israel is now in a panic.

Iran's airspace will soon be as well-protected as Russia's or China's airspace.

In fact, I don't think too many countries have these missiles apart from the key allies of Russia and China.

Good news ! Then even a single israelian mosquito will be no more able to enter iranian airspace. I definetely like it.

Russia approves delivery of these antique missiles every couple of years, just to troll America. But they never follow through.

Russia is just trying to pressure Israel into striking Iran sooner than later. Telling about this deal two years in advance to actual delivery gives the strategy it away. Russia doesn't give a shit about Iran, but fanning the flames in the Middle East is useful for Russians.

The same was said about Syria before Syria got whacked.

There has been intense bargaining on the part of the West and Israel for the last 8 years for Russia not to deliver this "game changing" weapon into Iran's arsenal.

The S-300 remains one of the most sophisticated SAM systems on earth and it is about to be deployed in great numbers around all strategic locations within Iran.

It can track and hit multiple incoming targets from a range of over 150km. That's not good news for the IAF or NATO.

Yes, the Russians have an even more advanced version of this with twice the range and capabilities, but the S-300 can make short work of any cruise missile or fighter jet coming into Iranian airspace.

And that's what Tel-Aviv is extremely panicked about. It's eliminated their capacity to confront Iran's nuclear program militarily.

Kinetic. Weapons. From. Orbit.

Israel will bomb Iran before those missiles become fully operational.

Russia didn't make Iran any safer. It made the prospects of an attack on Iran even greater.

Russia knows the S-300 will stop Israel. They know Israel will likely opt to destroy the nuke facilities before the S-300's go live.



If Russia did not want Iran to be attacked, they should have waited to deliver those missiles.

If I was in control, this issue would be done with years ago.

Iran's air defense and missile systems are already advanced and well funded.

Domestically produced Bavar 373 is claimed to surpass S-300 capability once fully developed.




Indigenous cloned and improved Hawk, upgraded S-200, Crotale, Ra'ad, BUK-M1, radar guided AA cannons, handheld MANPADs, etc. Their airspace is highly protected as it is.



They've also apparently gotten their hands on Patriot and S-300 at some point to reverse engineer. Is there an air defense system this country doesn't field??
