Starting your own business...success vs. failure...life purpose?
This is a serious question...in my life time I have attempted to start my own business on various occasions. And I have never been able to, however at the same time I have always managed to find work - usually at the last moment when I absolutely needed it.

I spent a period of about 10 years being a contractor, and I made it a habit to informally interview the owner of the Business I worked for, about how they started their company and how they got to the level of success that they did...

EVERY one of them described situations that led to them starting a business, being paid for it, etc that NEVER happens to me!

I also noted that there was no obvious difference between these people in terms of intelligence or knowledge - they were just 'ordinary' people.

It got me thinking if the reason that Person A becomes a Billionaire and Person B only ever earns an average wage has very little to do with intelligence or hard work or good planning - and in fact has more to do with 'life purpose' and luck!

Outside of business I have known and observed people who - from my perspective - get their lives handed to them on a plate! They don't work harder, they are not more intelligent, they just seem to have good luck in huge abundance.

Am I over thinking this? Is 'success' really just a consequence of your 'life purpose' from birth and therefore you can't really influence it yourself?

A person is absolutely able to influence their own success. Absolutely. Don't kid yourself.

There is some luck involved a lot of the time, but I also know people who are successful but who are not "lucky". They just work double or triple what a normal person would for a long enough time that they end up at the top.

Also when you work more you end up putting yourself in a situation to get lucky. That's not the luck working for you its the work ethic increasing your statistical chances of a positive result.

I would disagree that people who are successful business owners are "the same" as everyone else. Most business owners are more intelligent, have better work ethic and better communication skills than regular folks.

If you want to improve or optimise your business, you should use some business software. The most popular software solutions for large businesses are some trackers, project management software, cooperation work software, etc. You can see them on Comindware company where all such software solutions for optimising business processes are - [link to www.comindware.com] Hope, it helped you ;)

You have to have passion about it to succeed, I think. Every single biz I've ever started people laughed at me and said I would fail. You have to have a clear vision, plan for the obstacles and go for it.
