Anonymous Coward User ID: 69015343 Canada 04/27/2015 03:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What about self-defense? If I get pulled out of supercruise by some pirate with an itchy trigger finger and a thirst for the several tons of Lavian Brandy I have in my cargo hold, is it immoral for me to shoot him in self-defense? And if it is, is it also immoral for me to shoot in the defense of others? What if I see some helpless miner about to be turned into space dust by a pirate trying to liberate his gold and platinum? Can't I take a proactive role in protecting the innocent? And by extension, can I not also slay dragons to rescue the digital maiden? How about Bowser, surely it's ok to drown him in a lake of lava so that his hostage can be released? Quoting: Dr. Astro We need answers OP, our souls are at stake! |

So I Am User ID: 66152548 United States 04/27/2015 03:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So, judging by that logic, "Thou shalt not kill"... well, Op is correct. You kill you break gods laws. If you do not repent and stop killing right away, like before the 2nd pass over, May 3rd, 2015, which could be the 2nd coming of Christ or the Rapture,: you could be very , very sorry indeed. God is coming back to judge and punish is creation. Will you not stand stainless before the day of the coming of the lord? Thank you op so much for bring this to light. I am certain you are saving many damned souls! I know their is a place for you in heaven among the saints themselves. God bless you op and may little baby Jesus always be on your side. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69010652 Sure, I always lose the video game but I feel better taking the moral high ground. And one of these days the zombies will come around and tell me how much they appreciate it. Same with this life, you must not accept violence or it will consume you. Think about this carefully. To NOT accept violence, would be to NOT ACCEPT it. WAKE UP And it's the IDEALS, you pump into the mind. You're not going to make a ZOMBIE WORLD (or is it?), you're going to absorb the ideals that spending time playing games which make fun of violence, lack, war, suffering, pain, competition, etc, which is a virtual reality taking place in a real virtual reality world that is already being taken over by violence, lack, war, suffering, pain, competition, etc. Are you awake now? When you die will you perish or remain? |

CaptiveR User ID: 69059735 United Kingdom 04/29/2015 05:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, i miss the arcades when i was growing up, up and down this country in the late 70s early 80s, in piers in holiday parks and when the funfair was in town and of course the advent of the home computer systems etc. So sorely missed childhoods that most of us have and it's a cliche i know, but each generation tells the same that their generation was better. |

Quoting: CaptiveR 69059735 Right? Arcade machines are almost gone. They had definite advantages over consoles, so in a couple of ways, they were 'better'. There was a news piece talking about one last arcade in Old Town Pasadena here in LA. Probably the same one I frequented when I lived in Pasadena around 1996. So nice to see them keeping it up and running, and it's on the news, so they'll probably get even more business. I want to go! |
