I mean, I came down, but never back to where I was. Kind of scary...who would I be today had I never have done it? I'm not sure if I've ever had true LSD. I've done acid about four times over the years and never really had my mind blown. I suspect TRUE LSD was already hard to find in 1987. Street stuff...not good. (B)ullshit™ always needs an amplified bullhorn demanding kneeling subservience - or else.- SyncAsFunk The light within me always draws me back to make the dark decision to leave the false counterfeit light. -New Heart |

Mescaline is very safe compared to LSD. In fact, from my past experiences, mescaline is VERY gentle to beginners and those who fear too much. LSD is hard and only for those who have experience or are willing to risk a bad trip. Though, even a bad trip has a positive effect on the mind. Mescaline is great for reducing addictions grab on you. In combination with a drastic reduction of sugar intake, many addictions can be halted drastically. Even mental addictions. But since it is illegal, do not ever use it. |

But I question what is claimed to be LSD today is REALLY LSD and not some other synthetic chemical such has been in the news so much lately making people crazy. The precursors to make LSD are just too scarce these days for there to be much or any around anymore. |

He was only 17 and this took place in 1993. He doesn't recognize his family let alone himself and calls himself by another name. It's sad. |

I should add that while under the influence of LSD, one can imagine that they are going crazy and maybe do something harmful to themselves or others, but it was never as bad as what is happening of late with all the people doing crazy harmful things in public that have been in the news lately. Bath Salts and other synthetic chemicals seem to be way way more dangerous than genuine 60's 70's, early 80's LSD. |

Quoting: Nightbrd Had to be far too much LSD or a bad chemical cut with it. Mescaline will not do that too you. Too much will melt your mind and provide guaranteed ego loss, but you always come back. DMT is made in our bodies and one can never OD on DMT as well. It is LSD, LSA and other similar types that need to be carefully dosed. Under proper supervision by a medical professional. In short, LSD needs to remain controlled for mental health. It can cure many mental illnesses but it can make them too. If this shit is taught in school, he may still be normal today. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 68702371 United States 04/19/2015 10:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've done it many times & have had some pretty scary & remarkable experiences. The trick was to choose the setting & crowd you were in very carefully. Almost like anyone who was a little mental while sober was sure to loose their shit, so they must be avoided for this...It took me a while to figure that out. One case in point: I went to a Halloween party where about 30 people took "Blotter Acid" at once. This was in the early 90's and almost every guy there was dressed as "The Crow"...I wanted to leave as soon as I got there but was talked into staying. This was definitely the wrong crowd & setting mainly because I only knew & trusted a few people there. It went from a weird festive vibe to sheer terror for all, very quickly. Picture multiple painted evil faces all loosing their minds at the same time. Sweating & make up running down their faces which appeared to be melting anyway... Somehow I maintained my sanity and the evening ended with an ambulance & police cars. Apparently one of the "Crow"s jumped from the roof & broke his legs. Compound fracture w/bone coming through one...A definite buzz kill for all. That was in fact the last time I ever did it. -Strange days |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25264232 United States 04/19/2015 10:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Disclaimer: I did not read all the replies. Yes, LSD can f u up permanently if you do a serious overdose. It's not so much as permanent non-reality as permanent incompetence. I've seen it first hand back in the '80s with one guy in particular that I still remember. That was back in the day when blotter was blotter, and you bought it knowing and trusting the guy was telling you the real deal, whether it was one-way or four-way, etc. And it always worked as 'prescribed.' There was also lame micro-dot, but pffft. Reportedly doing a lot of lsd over the years can add up to major depression and such. I think a few trips every now and then with people you know are safe to be with is okay, depending on your situation in life. I would not make a weekly habit of it. . |
