Father who beat to death the man that raped his 5yr old daughter will not be charged and is set free by Texas Law

No in this country it is called acting in the heat of the moment -or acting in passion- or acting with rage -or some legal terms I don't remember

If it is done in self defense or defense of a child

AT THE MOMENT to protect -whatever happens in a fit of rage -is covered

Vigilante justice is pre-meditated murder -like hunting him down after.

No parent is in control in a scene like that -and whatever happened to that guy is justified.

That is Texas justice, the man was on his property which in Texas gives the Father the right to stop him by any means if he is trying to bring bodily harm to any one on the property That is Texas law. The father was in his legal rights

You have a problem with that, in this case? Some people need killing, and though the odds are in Texas he's going to be doing a life sentence if he gets convicted, you can't count on that. Vigilante justice is not injustice, it's just justice not officially sanctioned by the state. In this case I can't think of many people who would have a problem with hunting this creep down and ending him, painfully.

A Texas father who discovered a man raping his five-year-old daughter and beat him to death with his bare hands will not be charged with homicide under state law.

A Lavaca County grand jury decided not to press charges against the 23-year-old father in the June 9th death of Jesus Mora Flores, 47, who was killed inside a remote shack after he was caught molesting the young girl.

Under Texas state law, deadly force is authorized and indeed, justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault and coupled with the fact that the harrowing 911 calls made by the father back claims he even tried to save the pedophile’s life led to the grand jury’s decision.

Lavaca County sheriff’s deputies said that the father, whose name has not been released to protect the little girl’s identity, sent her and her brother to feed the family’s chickens.

The boy rushed back to tell his dad that someone had grabbed his sister and taken her to a small secluded shack and the father rushed towards his daughter’s screams and arrived to find them both with their underwear off.

Flying into a rage, the father beat Flores unconscious, but attempted to call 911 for the rapist after he had made sure his daughter was safe.

Sheriff Micah Harmon had said in June that he was not willing to press charges against the father, rather the case would be presented to a grand jury.

At the time, Harmon said that the man was ‘very remorseful’ and didn’t know at the time he had killed Flores.

It is a strange feeling to be happy about someones death.

This makes me almost jump up and down!

I would have killed him too...undoubtedly.

i wasn't talking to anyone in particular, more to people who aren't from Texas, but talk like they are.

it's not some magickal justice filled place like they make it out to be, it's actually quite the opposite. so this man isn't charged RIGHT NOW under texas criminal law.. my advice, is to watch the grand jury indictment.

i'm almost willing to bet this man's legal trouble IS NOT OVER. now he's just to the point where a jury (a grand jury, which isn't a jury at all) is to decide if this man should be charged, with murder, or manslaughter...

charges WILL NOT be dropped by the state (unless they do it as a publicity stunt) that's the ONLY TIME IN TEXAS when once, the state has leveled it's gun at you, it doesn't pull the trigger... for political gain... who knows, he may end up in a courtroom with a judge/sheriff who ISN'T up for reelection, and can appear "soft on crime."

most LIKELY what will happen is he'll end up in one of the many overcrowded, over corrupted county courtrooms, we're he'll eventually be charged of manslaughter, he'll serve a prison sentence, and then.....if he survives that, we can see just how much "justice," there is in Texas.

Seriously, dude, its an extension of self defense to protect your children. Its a stupid European idea that self defense is basically outlawed and that its a police matter and that trying to protect yourself is considered a crime. I know other countries are just a stupid and charge people who kill others in self defense with the criminal homicide.

That was all changed in the US - A history lesson
This was all changed here in the US when we kicked out the monarchy. All the rights of the monarchy now reside in the people. Whereas a monarch could rule that only the monarch could dispense justice, here in the US the people have decided that you have the right to defend yourself, and even use deadly force to do it. Its the difference between being a person and having person-hood and being a subject and being a peon.

Where rights, powers and authorities went from God to Monarch to the monarch's governments which governs the peons. In the US we eliminated the monarch and the rights, powers and authorities go from God directly to the people and then to a limited constitutional government.

The only problem we have in the US is that over time this idea has become obfuscated due to immigrants from continental Europe not being properly educated as to what it actually means to be an American. These people are legal postivists who kowtow to government as if it were still the tool of a monarch.

Its also why Americans who know better get extremely pissed off every time we see a president bow to royalty. The President need not bow, because the president is our representative and every individual person in the US is the equal of a monarch.

So perhaps for you, it would be better if you didn't think of this particular case as a fellow peon breaking the king's law. Instead think of it as a sovereign or monarch defending a person, in this case his own child, who is in his charge. Does that change your thinking? I'd be surprised if it didn't.
