You need to accumulate a significant amount in order to do things of value in the second half of life. I may earn 5 or 6 figures depending on what I do that year, but I try to live on $10k, or $20k max per year. It's quite easy to do that anywhere in the USA if you're creative. The problem with the USA is that individuals have no personal wealth to invest in personal projects of value. That's why we're losing to the Chinese, who are doing exactly that. We help our neighbor by paying ourselves first, and then creating wealth that creates wealth. The cup overflows and everyone gains. |

The thing I care most about, as far as my wealth is concerned, is not how much I have....but how much I can DO with what I have to help others. But, I assure you, like myself... the vast majority of high and ultra-high net worth individuals, and families, understand the responsibility they have to help others and they take it very seriously. |
