Quoting: Priest King 63847878 The Kind Of God who Is Just and Loving You see you and every other human deserves to Die cause your a sinner But God is His Love And mercy Provided a Sacrifice . Man (Adam) caused mankind’s problems, and Romans 5:19 says that a man will have to undo those problems: “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.” Some theologians teach that only God could pay for the sins of mankind, but the Bible clearly teaches that only a man could do it. God Himself Dying( which he can't ) Would be an over payment A kind and loving God would have sacrificed himself and died on the cross instead of sending his only son to die in his place. In his place ? In Gods place ? Man sinned ! Not God ! A man had to redeem So Jesus Christ was a man and not a God. Many people agree with you. Yes Jesus Christ The Man Took our place On the Cross ! That's the Gospel my friend You see we humans deserved death Jesus took our spot and died so that we can Live !!! YOU CAN HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THRU JESUS CHRIST |

And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Falling at ones feet is a form of worship. By not rejecting it you are in fact condoning it. Jesus accepted worship. Sigh. Same trinitarian lies as always. The verses before and after give the context, John is talking about those who believe will be raised. I.e. God chooses to save those who believe, He doesn't choose who believes. If God is to be worshiped, and Jesus equates himself to God, then Jesus equates himself as worthy of worship. But something tells me that the OP isn't even interested in using simple logic. Frayed Knot User ID: 45631626 United States 04/25/2015 05:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Worship means “reverence paid to a divine being.” If Jesus was offered and accepted worship, then by doing so He was confirming His divinity. This is important because there are those who deny the deity of Christ, relegating Him instead to a lesser position than God. Yes, Jesus accepted worship. Quoting: Visitor 64067080 From the beginning of Jesus’ life, we see examples of Him being worshiped. As soon as the Magi laid eyes on the infant Christ, “they bowed down and worshiped Him” (Matthew 2:11). The Bible records the initial response Jesus received when He made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem: “So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!’” (Matthew 21:9; John 12:13) The word hosanna ascribes all praise, honor, glory, and blessing to the one being lauded. This word used by the crowd is definitely a form of worship. Just after Jesus amazed the disciples by walking on water, “those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, ‘Truly you are the Son of God’” (Matthew 14:33). Two more memorable examples of Jesus accepting worship occurred just after His resurrection. Some of the women (Matthew 18:1; Mark 16:1; Luke 24:10) were on their way to tell the disciples of the resurrection when Jesus met them on their way. When they realized it was He, they “came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him” (Matthew 28:9). Then there is the case of Thomas, who didn't believe Jesus had risen from the dead despite the other disciples’ testifying to that fact. It had been about a week since the resurrection, and Thomas still doubted it. Jesus, knowing Thomas doubted appeared to him and showed him the nail marks and the wound on His side. How did Thomas respond? “Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’” (John 20:28). In none of these instances do we see Jesus telling those worshiping Him to stop, as did mere men, and even angels, who were being worshiped wrongly by others (Acts 10:25–26; Revelation 19:9–10). We continue to offer worship to Jesus today by offering ourselves to Him as a living sacrifice—offering ourselves to God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to do with as He sees fit (Romans 12:1–2). Jesus said, “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). We worship God in spirit and truth by obedience to His commands. Worship is not solely about bowing to Jesus, throwing palm branches at His feet, or singing and shouting about our love for Him. Worship is about responding to God’s love for us by resting from our works as He completes the work He has begun in us. Excellent post. Jesus continually pointed the way to God. But the Bible does say every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I have long feared that my sins would return to visit me, and the cost is more than I can bear. - The Patriot |
