Big Difference is that such a Fire would release immense Amounts of Contamination directly into the higher Atmosphere (by the Heat of the Fire) and directly in the Heart of continental Europe! (the Emisions of Fukushima gone to the Ocean {>80%} which is less harmless than in our Air) All in all: a real dangerous Situation with a true Doom Option. Europe was warned about the possibilit of such a bad Fire since Decades! |

Greenpeace: consequences would be comparable to the accident at Fukushima. "The forest fire is heading in the direction of Chernobyl's installations. Treetop flames and strong gusts of wind have created a real danger of the fire spreading to an area within 20 kilometers of the power plant. There are about 400 hectares [988 acres] of forests in the endangered area." Quoting: danes1 [link to rt.com] Greenpeace calls the fire in the Chernobyl area 'catastrophic' The environmentalist said that if the fire covering the whole area of heavy pollution the consequences would be comparable to the accident at Fukushima. During crisis they wanted to evacuate whole of Tokyo , that was scale By dumping into ocean and diluting , is like throwing your garbage at night on neighbours backyard , Japanese wouldn't do that? Ya maybe Both are dangerous situation , and affecting millions. Both nations and neighbours will and are paying heavy price |

Ya maybe Both are dangerous situation , and affecting millions. Both nations and neighbours will and are paying heavy price Regardless of it was worse or not, at least Russia recognized the threat of spreading radiation and made a genuine effort after that accident to stop it from contaminating the entire world. The amount of resources and manpower that went into the clean up, not to mention sacrifice of many workers who died, it's truly a marvel. All I see from Fukishima is them trying to COVER it up, not clean it up or fix the actual problem. CRUX MEA LUX |

Damn Putin "The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title." Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. The woman who is not pursued sets up the doctrine that pursuit is offensive to her sex, and wants to make it a felony. No genuinely attractive woman has any such desire. - H.L. Mencken, In Defense Of Women |
