You are missing the point. States can do this right now. We are headed to a moment probably soon when the federal government will be forced to act in a broad sweeping manner to enforce laws to rule the populations of the inner cities that can't control the lawless.

States that don't have "such kinds" will also be forced to control those that are civil and they will suffer more because their resistance will be greater as their liberties will be taken away having a greater impact. The animals can only be cagged, they know this, those that are law abiding will resist, they know this. A convention cuts the nuts off the beast.

I believe many states already called for it. Was a thread saw here last year. They'd not have a majority yet. Our founding fathers would stand from their grades and praise those who could would pull it off. Dig into it.

Do some research on how the founding fathers really felt about the constitution when the ink was still drying. Especially Ben Franklin speech that week. He said he knew it was written to end up exactly as it has. Where the citizens needed, relied on the federal government instead of the state's retaining individual rights to make laws that overruled the federal. The feds were supposed to unify and settle major disputes between states, not rule over all of us. Designed to do exactly what it did, it created a corporation not a country. Very wise men knew it from the beginning. Do some research about what it Really is. It's a 2 part document. The federal constitution and the citizens bill of rights. Which of those 2 documents are you really clinging to when you cry the constitution the constitution! It's 2 documents. Which is more important? Which threatens the other?

The ONLY reason a constitution convention would be convened would be to get rid of the few small things in the original USC that are standing in the way for them to take total control....like...oh, I don't know, maybe the 2nd amendment right to bear arms. If it happens, that's the time to start shooting.

It's 2 Separate documents. The federal constitution does NOT protect the bill of rights the way it was written.

Don't want to link but I did easily find articles from last year. Current move to call convention began in 1970s. 34 states so far have called for it. Is your state in that number?

Yes very slippery. I see the concern that if it were called it would just be a ruse. I do know that the founding fathers who fought for that bill of rights blood is very strong willed and lives on. I do know that within our lifetime there will be major changes to the government. I do know that we the people hold a the true power in how it goes down and what those changes will be. We just have to own that power instead of continuing to allow ourselves to be owned. No need for violence. NO need for over throws. No need for riots, though we should be that angry.

What is needed is for people to stop focusing on how to put every one in separate cages and labels and focus on the problems and solutions. Start at home. Start on your block. Maybe you live in perfect suburbia or maybe you live in the hood like me, right in the middle of the social class war Zone. My biggest struggle right now is how do I help those around me, when I am perceived as a threat by moving in. Along with an influx of other poor white people being forced into poor black neighborhoods in urban areas because of gentrification. How Do you even begin when the world around us is saying divide divide divide?

You could live in the "state" that was right for you, the way it was supposed to be set up. The feds were just supposed settle major disputes, not rule over us. Not rule over the states.
