I was wondering what was wrong with the grandma besides the obvious mental issues. I think she did something to her legs herself in order to make it appear that he somehow did it to her. She was insistent on trying to make him look like a little villain. She was quite manipulative too.

I used to work at a mall and this really old lady would come on a daily basis with her SEVERELY retarded son. Named "narc". He was basically a violent, empty shell of a huge man, in his 40s with no capacity outside of shouting, digging his nails into things (your arm) and staring.

Turns out her brother got her pregnant. Really sad stuff.

This is a terribly sad docu.

The granma is seriously disturbing. She fucked up her daughters so badly that they had no confidence in themselves to be normal women. Then she started on the little boy.

God only knows what went on in her background. She needed serious help and treatment and compassion. But she did need to be kept away from the children.

The boy's mum seems to have come out of her depressed hole and coped very well when she got her boys back. So pleased for her. And so glad that the boys went on to do well.

How was this about inbreeding? It wasn't clear from the program.

To my mind, this is far more about poverty: not just financial, but emotional, intellectual, educational, cultural...

I thought about that. But I disagree.

Granted their accents make them sound a couple of sammiches short of a picnic...

... though when you actually listened to what the teachers and nurses were saying it was obvious that they were fully aware of the real problems.

As I watched this program, I highly doubted that any of our UK 'professionals' would have picked up the real problems, or treated everyone so well.

Meant to say also that the boys were delightful! Just normal lads.

I moved from the deep south to Ohio, up here Ive seen first cousins married to each other, people that hoarded stuff till they had paths through the junk in their house. Some of these people need to upgrade the genepool.
