3D modeling tips needed!
Im using 3DS MAX to model trinity from the matrix. I should be able to box and edge model her right? I have the torso, it needs work, and the left leg is halfway, not including fine tuning. My teacher aint responding to my email, and I have no friends, so I figured glp might help.

No mate you will want to 3d sculpt it. Preferably with blender, as there is extensive tutorials on youtube, and believe me its really intuitive and well implimented for a free open source software. Other options are z brush, but ive tried it and its frustrating and over complicated.

Be warned though, unless youre an artist you will struggle to get the character to look a true likeness. If youre a boelrn artist then youre going to love 3d sculpting.

Re: 3D modeling tips needed!
All im saying is the op needs to 3d sculpt it not box model it. Dont want yo get into a software argument, but dint think max even had a sculpt mode.

Re: 3D modeling tips needed!
blender 3d is very very good for free software. And theres a huge community and copious amounts of tutorials on youtube because of that. i cant really think of any downsides to blender, other than its cycles renderer is not state of the art, but you could get vray and others to run on it. Oh and dont ever try and re arrange its user interface, be warned.

I'm intrigued to know why you are doing that OP?

Making a new unofficial Matrix 4?
