Quoting: Sikhed but Zerohedge? and SGT report?. They're just a economic doomporn sites. OP could have found a better reference than that. Zero Hedge is doom porn. It's almost as bad as those Snyder blogs (and Zero Hedge links to Snyder on a daily basis now). |

Granted, they tend to sensationalize things to drum up traffic, but I guess your logic on this one is lost to me. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2677892 United States 05/09/2015 07:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | from SGT Report.com: Quoting: Different Boat Andy Hoffman from Miles Franklin is on the line to dissect today’s breaking news about the collapse of the US economy as illustrated by today’s GDP report. The REAL numbers which now fully reveal how sick the economy is, despite artificially low interest rates and TRILLIONS in Fed “stimulus”, are absolutely frightening. According to Zero Hedge, if US inventories, already at record high levels, and with the inventory to sales rising to great financial crisis levels, had not grown by $121.9 billion and merely remained flat, US Q1 GDP would not be 0.2%, but would be -2.6%.. Thanks for tuning in as we document the collapse April 29, 2015. [link to sgtreport.com] It's actually worse than this. GPD includes GOVERNMENT spending, but it does not exclude the fact that government has to either steal the money from the economy first, or make it up in cyberspace before it can be spent. So, if you take government spending OUT of the GDP equation, we've been in a perpetual recession for years. |
Different Boat (OP) User ID: 69177679 United States 05/09/2015 07:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the U.S. economy is slowing down, which was partially reflected by falling exports: by around 2.9 percent in January (the biggest drop since 2009), and in February by 1.6 percent, to a two-and-a-half year low (see Figure 1). DOOM OFF. Monday DOW will raise 100 points, next day will sink 300 points, next day will raise 250 points etc.. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Spoken like a teenager. You obviously haven't lived long enough to see a real collapse yet. Stay tuned. Youth is good in many ways, but stupidity isn't one of them. Jesus, you're a dumbass. Don't think about fucking Monday for Christ's sake. Is that really your time horizon? FUCK! Grow the fuck up! |

The yield on 10 year U.S. Treasuries has plummeted as investors have looked for safety. This is exactly the kind of chart that we would expect to see if a financial crisis was brewing… But there are similarities and patterns that we can look for. When things start to get bad, investors act in predictable ways. And so many of the things that we are watching right now are just what we would expect to see in the lead up to a major financial crisis. We are exporting our inflation to them. |

Only goes to show that its not something that is written in stone I guess. With so many world powers fighting on life-support I suppose that they can all work together to keep this thing going for many years to come. I just think that for the everyday citizen we'll continue to see incremental downward changes. Especially with a growing population, more immigration and more bodies than jobs for John and Jane. But, whaddya do? |
