It's actually worse than this. GPD includes GOVERNMENT spending, but it does not exclude the fact that government has to either steal the money from the economy first, or make it up in cyberspace before it can be spent.

So, if you take government spending OUT of the GDP equation, we've been in a perpetual recession for years.

They couldn't be more wrong. The dollar is getting stronger as foreign money flees to safety in the usa. That coupled with low energy prices will kick off a 1950s style expansion. With an incoming business friendly administration in 2016 things will only ramp up in the nextop ten years.

Rising inventory levels means deflation is near.

We might get a sell and may and go away but thats a good time to buy later on in the summer

The USD only appears to be getting stronger because other countries are devaluing their currencies to keep pace with our money printing. We are exporting our inflation to them.

I don't know about anyone else, but the more I try to keep on top of this stuff the more confusing it gets. Only goes to show that its not something that is written in stone I guess.

With so many world powers fighting on life-support I suppose that they can all work together to keep this thing going for many years to come. I just think that for the everyday citizen we'll continue to see incremental downward changes. Especially with a growing population, more immigration and more bodies than jobs for John and Jane.

But, whaddya do?

If i got a dollar for every time zero hedge claimed doom but it didn't happen i would have been a rich man now.
