Anonymous Coward User ID: 48178830 United States 05/03/2015 05:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Uhm nope. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3650141 Yngwie malmsteen, steve vai, joe satriani, dave mustaine, marty freidman, jimi hendrix, jeff loomis, zakk wylde, jake lee, randy rhoads, stevie ray vaughn, eric johnson, jeff young, chris poland, chris broderick, slash, jeff haneman, gus g...just to name a few. Hammet is a great stepping stone guitarist when youre new to pentatonic scales and basic major and minor scales...but all the people above employ a more wide ranging and difficult technique in my opinion. Chet atkins, reverend horton heat, paul gilbert, rusty cooley, al di meola, paco de lucia, john mclaughlin....to name a few more. All them Jimmy Page, Clapton, etc Even George Harrison owns Hammett |

Quoting: Fret Wiz Vai, Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Scofield, Petrucci, Steve Morse...on and on. You must also play. I agree...Hammet is a very good guitar player in one of the all time greatest metal bands...but no where near the best. Petrucci and Vai top my list. Professionally... I don't think I could pin down one guitar player who is the best. There are many who have different skill sets that make them stand out. My personal preference is Fred Glotz Rule#4 Double Tap. |

I like how he played on rust in peace. Kirk is good though and a better fit for Metallica on the first three albums. After that I lost interest [/youtube] [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |
