Ambien....this stuff ruined me | |

Quoting: Mirjana The nausea, the disorientation the next day, the anxiety level that increased so suddenly, the feelings of hopelessness. It snuck up on me. Finally went to a psychiatrist and he pinpointed it. After being off that crap for one day, I felt like myself again. Just one day!!! For me it's playing with fire. Everybody's biology is different and if you can take it, good for you. For this woman, it destroyed my psyche....I guess I am just one of the very sensitive to that drug.... If you are taking Ambien and suddenly feel anxious and your life is futile proceed with caution. It can affect some individuals (not all) this way. I just thought I was having an exacerbation of a very old, healed anxiety disorder.... but... but... life is futile unless you are making babies |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 69139199 United States 05/05/2015 05:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My metabolism makes Ambien give me an extremely euphoric high. Quoting: First Born I was on it for a decade and by the time I quit taking it I was taking 70 mg / day. Quit cold turkey and the withdrawal was what I imagine a coke addict would go through. Dr. gave me benzos to help me step down. :youreafag: |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1569528 United States 05/05/2015 05:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Curious of peoples experience with Ambien....this stuff caused major depression with me. Supposedly safe? Not my experience at all....anyone have problems after taking Ambien...I was on it less than a month and it kicked my butt. Quoting: Mirjana There are 2 types of Ambien. The regular dose (10mg or more) will jack you up. Many documented cases of people doing weird stuff, sleepwalking, memory loss, etc... But the 6.25mg CR (controlled release) is not as bad. Works pretty well with no side effects for most. However, as with all Rx meds, it varies upon the person. May not work well at all for you. Check which kind you have, talk to your Dr. or find another one that knows the effects of the 2 types. Good luck. |

Better to do exercise, and natural remedies for insomnia, and most of all, tyo adress the psychological causes of it. All pharma is body hacking with no good consecuences on the long run. |

If You have problems sleeping stop all caffeine consumption and take melatonin. Most people don't realize caffeine is a poison and takes 21 days to leave Your body which when it builds up causes sleep problems. I used to have problems sleeping and the doc gave Me lunesta which caused my belches to taste like gasoline. |

Try Soaking in Epsom Salt Baths instead, that is Magnesium and helps relax muscles. One can also make their own Magnesium Bicarbonate Water.. 1 liter = 1,500 mg of Magnesium absorbed at 50% rate. Magnesium is a mineral that you are deficient.. mostly stored in the heart and brain. Useful as it helps calms and relax muscles, depression, sleep, required for the heart to beat, etc.. involved in 325 body functions. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 59465637 United States 05/05/2015 07:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've done dmt, ketamine, acid, uppers, downers, just about everything. Nothing made me act as weird as I did when I took ambien. I woke up not remembering anything, and had a bunch of texts asking me what the fucki was talking about... I checked my "sent" folder and was blown away by the gibberish and half finished sentences of nonsense I was sending people that I rarely even talked to anymore. When my mom took it, she fell really hard and hurt her hip out of the blue. That shit is something else...I would never touch that shit again. The stories of people driving on it and not even remembering are terrifying. I get that it works for some people, and that's cool...but for most people it's really dangerous. |

I just thought I was having an exacerbation of a very old, healed anxiety disorder.... It's a Benzo Z-drug; not TECHNICALLY benzo (Xanax, Ativan, Valium) - just one molecule away. People in benzo withdrawal can supplement with Z-drugs to get them through it. Vice-Versa. Sounds like it hit you hard - and you're a hard working person who never takes RX drugs. RX drugs are evil. Take persons advice about avoiding anything made by man... basically, any pharmaceutical. |

Supposedly safe? Not my experience at all....anyone have problems after taking Ambien...I was on it less than a month and it kicked my butt. Quoting: Mirjana As like so many posts before mine, the amnesia and dangerous behavior while on the drug is the main reason while I stopped using it as a sleep aid. What I was not expecting when I quit were the withdrawal symptoms. I experienced serious anxiety, depression and insomnia. I actually relapsed a few times and the withdrawal symptoms were worse each time. A few years ago the FDA changed it's recommended dosage for men to 10 mg and for woman, 5 mg. Lucky for me because my doctor had prescribed 20 mg a night and I was pulled over at 2 in the morning all dressed up in a suit, driving my two dogs around the block over and over. I had to fight the case in court as it was in my blood system and was acquitted. That scared me enough to stop. Big time. -Rail |

Just wanted to share this so if it helps someone struggling great. If you can take Ambien and it helps you, that is wonderful for you too.. |

You can get the product on Amazon. It gets great reviews. It's what my husband takes everyday and it really helps him sleep. |

Supposedly safe? Not my experience at all....anyone have problems after taking Ambien...I was on it less than a month and it kicked my butt. Quoting: Mirjana Heard a couple wild stories about Ambien, such as the lady sleep drove to K-Mart in her minicompact car and demanded that they load a half-ton of gardening supplies like fertilizer, etc., into her car. Her daughter picked her up. The mother had no recollection after it was over. Yes, I did cure my Stage 4 cancer in two weeks when I was 48. I also reversed my chronic kidney disease (glomerulonephritis) when I was 25. In neither case were any medical treatments involved. |
