Has anyone ever used the Way Back Machine hosted by Internet Archives to see older versions of their favorite sites? Look at how much nicer older web design was and how much crappier newer HTML is.

For example here is 2006 version of YouTube. [link to web.archive.org]

Now here is the 2008 version just two years later which is reorganized but still very familiar to the first layout with only minimum clicking/scrolling back when web design was actually good and even the most stupidest cell phone that had internet could navigate it due to the lack of flashy graphics. [link to web.archive.org]

Here is 2010 when the changes starting going bad and the shit was getting ready to hit the fan. [link to web.archive.org]

From then on is what most people know of YouTube design.

Another site I enjoyed was Weather Underground for their radar loop and history/almanac including astronomy data. [link to web.archive.org] Here is the 1997 version which until the mid 2000s had a select state database you could easily find you're city with minimum clicking.

Now here is 2004 which is still familiar despite more features added yet the familiar look retains. [link to web.archive.org]

2008 is when things changed and THIS is what most people refer to today as the *Classic* version of Weather Underground which they are dropping support tomorrow. [link to web.archive.org]

Here is the new version of Weather underground called Wunderground.com and I wonder who has trouble loading it and who doesn't. [link to www.wunderground.com]

For cell phone users you have to have a pretty expensive phone to be able to load it with minimum issues. I have a faster computer so I can load it but it's not fun navigating it.
