Bump can anyone get security footage

I am in Agoura Hills, just over the mountain from Malibu. It was like 1/10th of a second. If so many of us hadn't reacted in unison, I would have dismissed it as my eyes freaking out or a reflection from a car or something.

Electromagnetic lightening from cren,lol.

Funny you should mention that. It was about 3 hours ago here in the foothills of NC that I had a similar thing happen. It was a near-cloudless sky (it's cloudy now) and there was no traffic on the street (thus no sudden reflection off of a moving vehicle ... my computer desk faces the front window).

It was weird. One of my cats, who was sitting at that window, looked around like she heard something at that time also. But I didn't hear anything accompanied by the flash.

ISS sometimes can create this phenomenon. There is a site where you can check if there was ISS above you at that time. Google it.

I see the website you mention.
I could possibly see it being a reason for my flash ... but the OP said it happened to him/her at nearly the same time, but on the other side of the US from me ... no where near ISS was in it's trajectory. So ... I will have to say no for ISS as the cause of the flash.

Oddly enough, I am not worried about NC having an EQ. Western NC has about 2-4 2.0-3.0M a year (ie, hardly anything).

So ... my "flash" being EQ related? *shrugs* Have no clue. I wouldn't have thought anything about it if it wasn't for:

a) there was no traffic on the road at the time,
b) there was no opening of car doors or house doors at the time (there are only 5 houses on the road and only one would have been anywhere capable of reflecting sunlight if that was the case),
c) the one cat that was at the window suddenly acted as if there was noise or some disturbance at the same time as the flash

Perhaps my flash was nothing ... just weird that it happened at a similar time as the OP ... on the opposite side of the US.

Definitely Quake light Flash, a precursor to Earthquakes, originates from the ground upwards a sudden burst of light probably in the hills behind Agoura.

Hmmmm. An east coast 4.0 ... interesting.

I remember feeling that Virginia 5.7 4 years back ... I was the only one on the street that felt it (same house I'm in now), saw the lamp shade sway ... a brief 2-3 second rolling sway sensation. Was the only time I've felt an EQ.
