Quoting: Anonymous Coward 58154625 Are we supposed to believe she never heard about drugs having a negative influence in one's life? EXACTLY! In this day and age of the internet, it's pretty safe to assume that doing meth may not be the best idea. I don't think I've ever heard ANYONE going "gee, those years of being a meth freak were the best EVAR!". No, we hear about what hell it is being a meth head. So why do people assume they're going to be the exception to that pretty well proven rule? And if you do think you're going to be the precious snowflake that's going to be that exception, don't blame the world around you. You picked up the pipe, and you were the one who couldn't put it down. No one held a gun to your head to be an addict, it was your free will doing so. You thought you were bad assed enough to handle it, you were the one who decided to prostitute yourself (another proven DUH moment) for money to feed your habit that you lack the balls to quit. I can't stand the failed War on Drugs, but if you have an addictive personality, JUST SAY NO. Simple. Don't start and you don't have to worry about addiction. We ALL know there are some things in life not worth trying. Driving a car into the side of a building at 120 mph is a bad idea. Russian Roulette is a bad idea. Freestyle diving from the top of a 40 story building is a bad idea. Jumping from a plane without a parachute is a bad idea. Thinking you can beat meth is a bad idea. See a pattern? |

I'm usually extremely compassionate, but as a paramedic I've been in far too many circumstances with meth heads where kids were neglected or abused, and I just can't take that. We have a HUGE problem with meth around here and it's absolutely heartbreaking to see what many parents put their kids through all so that they can stay high and pretend they don't have any obligations except to themselves. I've had better luck with heroin junkies then I have had with meth heads, and that's saying A LOT. Meth just destroys your soul and your body in the process. Addiction is a strange beast to tangle with, but it all gets back to the point that if you know you're going to be addicted, why do it in the first place? It just doesn't happen 'accidentally". You have to be a willing participant, and at that point don't expect sympathy from the people that have to deal with your behavior. Yeah, your meth buddies may think it's the greatest thing ever, but what of the people that matter most in your life? |

Quoting: Dark of Forecasting A woman with pride would have fought like a lion not to end this way, she thought it would be some sort of fun and feels shame now. If she had been more honest and said that she became a prostitute to feed her habit I wouldn't be so harsh but making out that she HAD to sell her body for meth is a lie. I would never want to be in a vulnerable situation with you in the position of strength. Tell her that. She must be stupid or into kinky stuff and feels ashamed now. Who the hell takes Meth on more than one occasion when they knew that the time they did it before they were tied to a bed, cut and sexually assaulted with a baseball bat? Who does that? Dont be bullshitted. i know her. SHE LIKES THAT SHIT! |

It's all fun & games until the Dogman stands up Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Shit! What a ride!" In times of trouble, I ask myself, "What would Sarah Conner do?" |
