There's only one true measure of a REAL socialist government: a welfare state. The Nazis had nothing of the kind, nothing even resembling social welfare, as the TRULY socialist (former) Soviet Union had. Nazi Germany were slaves of banks and corporations basically the same as the US is today. The word "socialism" back in the day was a meaningless BUZZWORD tossed around and used for convenience pretty much in the same way "national security" is used today -- every asshole everywhere says it. As hard as it is for most folks to imagine today particularly in the US, socialism was once considered very "cool" or "hip" in Europe of the early 20th century, so the German Nazis just stole the socialism label to try to make themselves look good... the same way they stole the word "Aryan" and twisted it to refer to Teutonic/Nordic people, which it absolutely does NOT.
