How far down in the ground does your property ownership go? What state are you in? All depends on area of country as certain states the deed and title only convey to you the surface rights while others you get all land rights and own them to center of earth. Check with your local county gov office like an assessor office |

Out West in many states it is even illegal to catch any rainwater or ground runoff water. Can be very tricky so you should consult a RE Attorney prior to doing anything besides building a home on it |

Core is smaller than surface area right?? And also, the Earth is a globe, you'll need to adjust as you go down. They will take it if they can, taxes if left unpaid will leave you on the streets. As long as land tax on the house you have bought and paid for, you are in a fix if you can't pay them. You don't own anything if it can be taken because of taxes, or taxes unpaid. There used to be no taxes on you land or house, you could leave and come back no problems. Now, you can lose your home of you lose a way to pay taxes. I do not like this tax law. Daughter out with my own way. |

Soyou dug down, the farther down you go the less area you own. Imagine an ice cream cone and the circle at the top is your yard. So your catacomb multi later umbrella corp bug out shelter idea, as fool proof as it may be, is doomed to failure by draconian property regulations. Sux huh. |
