Not to mention the chakra system... People who are ramped up with energy don't go around giving other people electric shocks, now do they? The energy's more subtle than mere electricity.

Op, you know that people who have amputated legs or arms do suffer phantom pains, right? That means that the absence of physical arms or legs do not guarentee you will not feel anything no more in that part of the body. Physical parts only show the outcome of what happens in the spiritual planes. It would really be not good if energy would be hindered by artificial parts, people with pacemakers would probably not survive it.
