Has anyone ever dropped something and have it completely vanish ?

Happens to me regularly.

My sunglasses disappeared recently for instance. I never take them out of my car.

We lost a hot wheels car and a trashpack toy. Poof....gone

Well this is the third time this "glitch" has happened to me, over the course of 20 years

This time, I am super aware of this, and would really like to know what it is besides a "glitch"

Was it so that I could start a thread (finally) about this ? It actually happened

god, i hate it when that happens....

Is this sort of thing going to happen when I drop people from my life ?

A cop told me once about an accident on a dirt road out in the countryside. There were 6 or 7 people in the car. 3 or 4 of them got ejected in the crash and two died. One of the people they never found. They combed the area for two days looking for any trace of the guy and never found a thing. He flew out of the car and just vanished.

The cops only knew he was in the car because the other victims were asking if he was ok. Still hasn't been seen to this day.

Just kidding...yes, I have had this happen. It
will usually happen with 1 sock...but it has happened
over and over again with my glasses, my lighter,
and other objects. Oddly enough, it rarely has ever
happened with anything BIG...like my car, or something
that you can't fit in your hand.

You know that everything that we think is SOLID is
actually 99.9999 SPACE, right? So it really isn't a huge leap to expect that once in a great while the space part
of the noodle meets the space part of space momentarily
and it just disappears. What I don't get is how the object
can be found in the next room, a fair distance from
where it "fell thru" the Matrix. Dang, I had a great
picture I could share on this that showed a before
and after photo of an old sidewalk in England that
just suddenly appeared and then vanished. It was really
spooky!
I expect MORE of this kind of thing with the experiments
at CERN....they are screwing around with the fabric of
space.

if you have pets, it is long gone anyways!

Look I know it's just a small insignificant peice of noodle, but I noticed it

I pulled out all my damn furniture on the tile floor to look for it and it's not anywhere, just to prove I'm not tripping balls

But I am, over something small. I just want to know, is there a cost for that ?

I experieced a glitch in the Matrix thats somewhat similar
I was in the process of exchaning my interior doors, I removed a few screws from my bedroom door hinge, I turned away for a few seconds to reply to a text. I put the phone down to get back to work and don't you know the screws are back in the hinge as if never touched. I'm talking the paint was still covering the screw and all... I froze and sort of freaked out for a good 5-10 min (Its only me in the house) I still can't get over that. I know for a fact That I unscrewed them...

I've had similar things happen but I am particularly fascinated by the times when u look for something in a small space (like a handbag), can't find it, and then you or another person recheck the same space a couple of minutes later and find it easily.

I'm convinced this type of thing happens by some force to alter your timeline. Instead of walking out the door and getting hit by a bus, you spend five minutes searching like mad, find it just where you first checked, and leave with the fatal bus already five minutes gone.

May I suggest a pin ?

Dropped a shiny washer as large as a dime, and thick as a nickel, while replacing a screw on my walker. I never heard it reach the linoleum floor. Checked pants cuffs, floor; beneath a couch two feet away. Nothing.

Yup the smaller it is the more likely that it will vanish.

You guys are right about size

Large items usually get morphed and turn out looking different

This was just a peice of noodle, no significance other that it "didn't get away clean"

One time I was working on a car, and I had to remove a tiny snap ring. The pliers lost their grip, and it went flying. I spent hours trying to track it down, even though I was in a small garage I couldn't find it.

I resigned myself to having to wait until the next day for the parts store to open so I could get a new one. I went inside to wash up, and I happened to look up in the mirror. The clip was stuck in my beard!!!

Long story short... check your beard!!!

I even checked my shoes and my socks

I was gesturing and I felt my wedding ring "pop" off my finger. It was just gone, never hit the floor. 3 months later I was out shooting. I got back to my car and opened the trunk to pack up. I looked down on the ground right in front of me and there was my ring.

Another time I was using the weed trimmer in my yard. I had just gassed it up and walked about 15 feet when I felt gas splashing on me. I looked down and the gas cap was missing. I went over those 15 feet on my hands and knees over and over looking for it. I finally ordered a new cap on amazon. Took the trimmer out and the old cap was sitting there on the garden path right where I was standing when I noticed it was gone. I had been over that spot on my hands and knees over and over.

You lost them but they came back, I find that odd too because I have a gut feeling that I'll see what I've lost before I'm gone
