I got some heavier gauge but don't think it will work..,

they might have hacksaws and then mom will have to deal with them as I live far away and am visiting helping during planting season.

Big yes on the bird netting. Also try planting things that are taller and will hide the berries.

We hang cds from our fig trees to keep birds from eating our figs. It works, they don't like the flashing light from the cds. Not sure if it'll work for doves but worth a try.

lol at the claymore idea.


Get some 1/4in pvc pipe or something and arch it over the plants every 4-5 feet.

Use it to tie a netting over your strawberries, and the birds stay out.
