I also found out that it is healthier to be at and stay at a slightly overweight status than going back and forth over and over again.

As a matter of fact, yo-yo dieters suffer much more inflammation and therefore more heart disease.

I've been about 20lbs overweight since my late 20's. (I'm 43 now) Everything is good regarding blood sugar, cardio, etc..

If I did try and rid myself of this little bit extra, I'd probably get lipo. Loosing weight via diet only means your fat cells purge themselves of excess water. The cells are still they, they are just smaller and they will always be screaming out for bad chemicals to cause them to swell up again.

So, killing the fat cells is the only real way to improve health in the long term.

This is a dumb statement. Heroin addiction is alot faster a killer than fat foods.

I watched a friend go from clean living, well he smoked weed but was struct vegan, he sold weed as a side thing but then someone told him how much money her could make selling heroin. Three months later he was dead. Shooting it.
The whole atmosphere in the house changed like it was diseased. It was very sad, but after he started selling it i quit hanging with him. Tried to get him some help a few times but then got that fateful call.

There is a documentary where a fitness guru, intentionally gains like 40 lbs. The rest of the documentary is of him explaining how incredibly difficult it was for him even get off the couch.

A bigger issue is the fact that the sorry ass baby boomers who let their kids run wild, never taught their children about nutrition.

There is some truth to this. I am a vegan but not skinny. Im 6'3" 220. Plus i enjoy my beer. But we eat good, and none of us are super skinny..

I honestly dont get the overweight. I am in my late 40's and have maintained a healthy BMI my whole life. There's no great secret -- stay active and eat in moderation. Why is this so hard to grasp for so many people?

I was a big distance runner in my 20s and 30s. I started swimming last year and left MMA for recreational jiu-jitsu clubs. My weight has stabilized and I'm in better health than I was in my mid 30s when I was training 15 hours a week.

I got into distance running at the recommendation of a quack doctor who was a bigger runner. We now know distance running is as bad for you as smoking while swimming increases your lifespan.
