This has been my belief.

Every single thing IS god.

You, and I, the wall or a fly. The sky, the stars the moon and mars.

We all started from one point, we are just life experiencing itself to define itself so nothing can exist, or be defined so to speak.

If you live with this type of mindset, of un biased neutrality you are way more adept at finding, the 'truth' the 'light' or making the world and the universe your own.

Re: Who are you Really? THE Conspiracy.
God is a taboo term generally referring to an omnipotent being. But what is the relationship of this being to the universe? Can a being that is separate from the universe have any control over it? While this is definitely up for debate, my gut tells me no. That being said, "God" must be a part of the universe in order to have complete control over all things inside it. But how is this possible? Let's start with what we know.

Science has provided us with sound evidence of two phenomena that play an integral part in finding the answer to these questions:
1. Evolution.
2. The Big Bang.

Although the catalyst that caused the Big Bang is still unknown, we are quite sure it did happen. This means that at some point, the only thing in existence was a vast emptiness, nothing. To put it simply, at some point this nothingness "exploded," creating this universe - everything. If we look at two of the fundamental laws of nature in this universe, the conservation of mass and the conservation of energy, we learn that neither matter nor energy can be created or destroyed - they can only change forms. What are the implications of this?

In my mind, this means that everything and nothing are irrevocably intertwined. Because the Big Bang did happen, there must have been enough energy and/or mass to act as the catalyst. The only thing that makes sense to me is Consciousness. Or, in layman's terms, "God." The only thing that existed before the Big Bang was Consciousness. At some point Consciousness decided it was done being nothing (nothing is pretty boring, right?), so it decided to create everything.* Thanks to the conservation of mass and energy, we can deduce that Consciousness technically makes up all matter and energy in the universe. Ipso facto, this Consciousness would have control over all matter in the universe.

So now that we've defined "God," what is it's relationship to humanity? This is where it gets more complicated.

Humans are special in that they are capable of complex problem solving, deduction, critical thinking, and self-awareness (just to name a few). And more importantly, humans also possess a consciousness. This isn't to say that animals don't possess consciousness, because they absolutely do. But the combination of humans' powerful minds AND consciousness is what makes us so different. We have the capability to listen to our consciousness, analyze it, and come to our own conclusions about what it says to us through thoughts and emotions.

Based on all of this information, human consciousness would technically stem from THE Consciousness. What does this mean? The answer is both awe-inspiring and terrifying. We are all "God."

These are only my beliefs, but it's taken me a long time to get here. I have always been one to entertain conspiracies, but I believe this is THE conspiracy. You are being lied to at every turn, in a desperate attempt to prevent you from realizing what you really are.

Imagine the potential that humanity has if we all realized this to be true. What would change? How would we experience the world? I like to imagine this planet as a cell, with all the entities living in it as parts working together to evolve. I believe that if the consciousnesses of humanity were to unite, we would work together as one, with the strength and intelligence of over 7 billion people to draw from.

I hope I live to see that day.

*Side note: Due to advances in our understanding of quantum physics, this means that technically Consciousness never decided to create the universe AND always decided to create the universe - at the same time. Because human brains process time in a linear fashion, we are limited to one reality and thankfully in said reality the universe exists!

Meh I have believed just as you, after much deliberation my understanding has shifted. The basics that you listed still apply.

Yet we are only offshoots of the original consciousness. We never created anything, let alone ourselves. If God was the heart, we are veins and arteries and cells. We are still apart of God, but it doesn't mean we are God.

There is only one true God, he is consciousness, he is love. And he has walked with us before.

I completely agree, and to add an interesting side note to your side note on quantum physics (no I don't have a link, I read it in a book) pertaining to certain experiments, the thoughts of the physicists determine the outcome. To put it simply, say physicist A expects B as a result of a test, B will be the outcome, BUT Physicist C does the same exact experiment, except he expects D to be the result, then the result of his test will be D. Consciousness determines, and changes the outcome of certain quantum experiments. I find it extremely fascinating

thousands have posted the same things, included me, all over this last two decades.

the only mistake i find is that god is not to be defined.

you can´t define yourself, you can´t entrap yourself, in your own idea of yourself, you are "no limits".

Whenever you define something, you entrap yourself in it, and generate compartmentalization of consciousness, in other words, the infamous veil of forgetfulness.

That´s what i think.

hi Senaden2,

Pierre Grimes (on u-tube) explains this well. defining anything is establishing a boundary.

to define the undefinable into something else, changes it, then it is no longer what it was.

now about what you wrote.. unlimited can become limited. names can entrap. may i have youre name please? I need to see some ID.

are you a name or an ID? then how foolish is it to say you are or to give a peace of paper or plastic in place of something much greater?

This contradicts the Bible, which implies that God can surprise people. Surprising yourself is impossible, so we cannot be God, for we cannot surprise ourselves and God has. An example is God splitting the red sea to Moses could walk on the ocean floor. The people were surprised, right?

That is a stupid question.

God.

This word speaks so strongly to people, it's almost like you are attacking them directly.

This thread, 'Who are you really?"

Every answer that has come across this thread has it's own truth, motive of karmic understanding and right to defend belief.

But god will never have to defend himself, not because he is "right", but because he is everything and everywhere. The stronger you desire to be correct the further you drift from the abyss.

Let the abyss stare back at you.

I was raised with the bible and even my childlike mind could see the ridiculousness of spending every sunday sitting with a bunch of people pleading to win the lotto.

The Bible, re-written by Sir Francis Bacon or Shakespeare himself?

The Bible is alot like the Military. It gives you this skewed view upon the world where there are all these people doing wrong and living an evil life who should be punished.

I want to punish the People at Nestle, who sit upon the IMF board and print our money, barter over water and sewage systems in our cities and say we dont have a basic human right to WATER and must pay for it.

We all sit here on GLP and make jokes, and memes and call each other shills....

Time does not work this way. You remember being born? Try to remember when you die.

It is cyclical, never have we not been in the now. You could go back all the way to Adam and Eve to blame people for the way they act.

This is exactly the problem.

You have been taught history repeats itself, the tail wags the dog and the wake drives the ship. Because the penners of history need you to act according to the way your mother/parents treated you.

The good o'l Freudian complex. We are not the past, and there is no future.
