Why is not anyone discussing the bright star in western sky

you mean the star thats alwyas there , doesnt move and gets brighter as time goes on.

yeh i have wondered for years what it is, but i always get venus..

also it dissapears before it reaches the horizon.

Brightness thing in the night sky except the moon

from where i am its low in the sky. but if you are in america it must be higher in the sky.

Its only doomy if its a huge star, like big enough to engulf our solar system huge. Space is biiiiiig.

I have hunted, slept on dear trails, ect. since I was a boy, and I know I have never seen anything like it until a couple of years ago, and it just keeps getting bigger. I looked at star charts a couple of years ago and it was not even close to where Venus was suppose to be.

Then men will be ill at ease in their hearts, they will seek they know not what, and uncertainty and doubt will trouble them. They will possess great riches but be poor in spirit. Then will the Heavens tremble and the Earth move, men will quake in fear and while terror walks with them the Heralds of Doom will appear. They will come softly, as thieves to the tombs, men will no know them for what they are, men will be deceived, the hour of the Destroyer is at hand.

In those days men will have the Great Book before them, wisdom will be revealed, the few will be gathered for the stand, it is the hour of trial. The dauntless ones will survive, the stout-hearted will not go down to destruction.

I can't believe it. I need to look for it again. It's been a year or two but I have seen what you describe. My friend has a telescope and we observed just what you said. It was reddish orange which makes think it is headed our way and for some reason it's only visible for part of the year here in Colorado. I need to go find it I bet it is bigger as you say.
