Yesterday Lake Mead lost 134,430 Acre ft.

Outflow was 13035 cfs or 25,854 Acre ft for the entire day. (60x60x24x13035/43560)

Difference in recorded loss in acre ft is 108,576 Acre ft!!

Say what??!!

This is bizarre as hell. Does somebody with more scientific literacy than myself have a rational explanation?

MEGA FAIL,NO QUAKE.STUPID THREAD.

The Lake Mead water data/loss reported by the OP is incorrect. But the loss is still very substantial and unexplained.

Lake Mead has dropped on average about .10 inches per day since May 9th. On Friday, May 22 it dropped 1.65 inches.

Outflow during the same time period ranged from 11000 CFS to 21000 CFS, friday it was 13035 CFS.

However, the content of the lake dropped dramatically, for no explained reason. Something sucked up a lot of water.

Moron engineers of 1930's, were suppose to do pipeline
from Vancouver area, down to las Vegas, to lake mead, not boulder Colorado from pipeline that would not come from the east. The engineers were told in 1930's, to build water pipeline from north to south, not east to west. From Vancouver to Vegas, as that was way it should of been built. Engineers of hoover/lake mead project of 1930's were morons.

They are draining it on purpose, so after the quake they can fill it back up again.

The water either evaporated due to high temperatures or the water went down because cracks in the earth are making it so.

Interesting considering the 4.8 in Nevada that just happened.

That quake likely caused a bit of shifting, maybe cracking and the water went through opening or got rerouted. Just my opinion. The relation with this water level and the quake could be quite revealing.
