And I'm sure you're daughters curiosity will be for the better. Nothing wrong with a mind opening experience :) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54573283 We all stereotype for safety reasons. And more often than not our stereotypes hold true. We want the best world possible for our kids Thank you ! you seem like a great person. you don't run into them much on these forums. Somebody actually got sore and sour with me earlier because of my bad English. I couldn't believe they got on the offensive about it. I can be a little mean sometimes to but on most occasions I'm just defending myself. Thanks again for kindness. Put me in a much better mood. Oh yeah.. You are a really nice guy.. Sure.. You always refer to waitresses as Bitches.. Or do you just save that title for black females? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 37010308 United States 05/26/2015 08:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I thought the same thing, and I think OP made all this up. A four-year-old watches Sesame Street and other TV, and the children's books are full of pictures of children of all colors. Isn't she in preschool? Are you keeping her in a cage? Something is wrong with this picture. I NEVER let my kids watch Sesame Street and all the other social engineering cartoons. Horrible- decreases attention span and does not prepare them for school. Its made for urban yout. They had videos without commercials for expensive junk toys and junk foods. Christmas wasn't a battle because they knew what they were getting and didn't know about the other commercials crap. Hmm . First te they saw a black person was probably on vacation - or at the city zoo- no joke- we went to lots of museums and zoos when we went to cities. There was one half white - with white parent and grandparent and half black kid in the school. There were two adopted Asians - sister and brother Koreans. They knew people had different skin but NEVER saw it within 30 miles of home. The neighbor girl clued me in when I was 5 - when God cooked people in the original oven the black people were the burnt ones- and ever since their kids are dark. MY parents never said a word one way or the other. So- they let me form my own opinions. I saw blacks when I went to college. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 67252060 United States 05/26/2015 08:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | While it isn't a good idea to refer to someone as "bitch", there are some people who just talk that way with no ill intent. No one has to like it and it really doesn't matter whether they do or not. That's just the way it is. As for kids and other races, again, like it or not, they will say what they think and ask what they want to know wherever and whenever they want. They're kids. I've heard what would be considered much more offensive questions come out of the mouths of babes than what OP's daughter said. They just do it and no one knows it's coming so it can't be prevented and that's the way it is. I don't know of any parent who sat their preschool child down to explain different races and how to spend their day carefully not offending anyone. That sounds kind of "racist" and condescending to me. Not that "racist" gets much more than an eye-roll these days because sane people are sick of hearing it. The real problem these days are the easily offended. In this society, sensitive people are having a very hard time. They're more like paranoid and easily led to believe that racism and discrimination are rampant and they're a victim of something instead of growing a spine. There are real victims in this world, but it's not normally the ones who think they are. Everyone should just get along and treat each other with respect. Use common manners with everyone and leave it at that. Most already do, but we're told otherwise and the easily offended lap it up. What I see in day to day life does not look what I see and hear from the media. It's an agenda and a lot of us are falling for it instead of seeing what's actually going on in real life. |

All of the kids came running out of the building and she said, "where are all of the peach people?" Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50438828 hahaha its so hard not to laugh when kids do shit like this. there just kids they dont know any better. Which is why when they become bigots or racists, they have been taught that, usually by their parents. Kids always learn best by example. |

Teenagers disprove that theory every day. If they learned by example they would act like their parents. They don't and that's what causes the infamous generation gap. Peers and media have a much stronger influence than parents after a certain very young age. Why do you think they want kids in the education system at younger ages? They know where the influence is. You rarely see any of the parent in the child before the child is an adult. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 36348733 United States 05/26/2015 11:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think that's funny at all. Calling a hard working black woman a "bitch" and making fun of her for no other reason then the color of her skin? Quoting: Lisa*Lisa That's shameful and ignorant. I think this guys woman needs to straighten him out on the B word. Set off everyone in here and shows his ignorance. There was no "making fun of a black woman for the color of er skin" at ALL. Just a good old boy that refers to ALL women that at and needs to be educated on how ignorant and stupid that sounds- much less offensive to HALF the population. OP did more harm to his Baby GIRL by referring to woman as a bitch- (even if he didn't say it out loud- she KNOWS her daddy has no respect for her kind. That's where the discrimination occurred . Call your daughter a BITCH and see how she grows up defiant and bitter. |

Living in a state with 5-7 counties with a black majority, it's hard for me to see how people go for years never encountering a black. They are certainly in the news these days. That could afford an excellent opportunity to discuss race. . One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy |
