There are special forces training on horseback for combat.

They were training at an outfitter/guide school I attended back in the early 90s.

They wanted to be able to get around in the mountains with pack animals... I think that was their first time learning packing.
They told stories of other special training, all kinds of things, like evasive (stunt-like) driving courses and such.

Fun group of guys, really smart and absolutely nothing stopped them, they pushed through some intense schooling and storms.

I think it's a sign of things to come.

We're suffering from average rain fall in my neighbor hood so the leading industries is at full damage control capableitys.

And those fucking range nags chased me yesterday and they are still standing right out side my gate.

A number of my former students are SF. They are trained to do everything they can think they might need to know how to do. Some of the very first US forces in Afghanistan in 2001 were on horseback, the most reliable way to travel in some parts of that country.

If you want to know what SFs can do, read Not a Good Day to Die, a book about the first few months of the War in Afghanistan, especially the early chapters about recon.
