Oatmeal, Old-fashioned, 42 oz canister $2.48 (30 servings) Cuties Clementine tangerines, 5 pound box, $2.45 (20 servings) Brown sugar, 1 pound, $1.15 (36 servings) Raisins, 6 oz, $0.69 (12 servings) Butter, 8 oz $1.43 (16 servings) English muffins (split), 6 count pkg. $1.49 (12 servings) Strawberry preserves, 32 oz, $2.14 (16 servings) Milk, 1 quart, $1.10 (5 servings) Eggs, 1 dozen large, $0.79 (6 servings) Ground coffee, 10.5 oz, $2.28 (50 6 oz cup servings) Pancake mix, 32 oz, $2.00 (20 servings) Pancake syrup, 24 oz, $2.00 (12 servings) ----------------------------------------- $20.00 total cost Wow where do you live, that's really cheap food. I live in the east central U.S. and the prices cited above are for store brand (generic) food products rather than top-brand expensively well advertised national brand food products. However, the store (generic) brands are still of good quality. i have learned that generic food products are often made and packaged in the same regional manufacturing facilities as the more expensive national brands. In the prices I quoted above I did not factor in additional savings that can be achieved when someone buys store brand (generic) food products when they are at a special (limited time) sale price or when coupons are used to help reduce food costs. |

Sardines, big box of cheap crackers, and a bunch of bananas ought to do it. Got protein, carb, and a fruit. Supplement with dumpster diving the night before outside any restaurant or grocery store. BY law they have to throw out hot foods. Also, much food left on plates is quite edible and untouched. |

It's very hard to digest pork They make turkey bacon. They also make beef sausage. Your best bet is protein and fat to lower the appetite and keep you full longer. All you need is eggs, turkey bacon, and cheese and you'll be set for more than two weeks. |

You should be fine for at least a month. Save whatever you have left over and apply it to your next 2 weeks of rations...in a few weeks you might even have enough to buy a chicken, so you will have some fresh eggs and a tomato plant. If you keep doing this and adding garden plants/chickens, by the end of the year, you'll have salsa fixings and fresh chicken meat. You'll live for a very long time on this! |
