I don't usually like asking for anything, but my family could use some prayers.

We lost Shona last Wednesday. She was my first cousin. She died of cancer at the age of 38.

PLEASE, Prayer Warriors, put my husband Roy on your prayer lists. He had a doctor appointment late this morning, and the doctor thinks he has colon cancer. He has to go back to the doctor on October 15th, and he is supposed to have a colonoscopy and some other tests, but I am not sure when they will be scheduled.
Right now, I just want to cry. :(

We are not saying anything to the kids or anyone else, at this point. The kids will go nuts, and so would the older grandkids.
Roy's prostate is greatly enlarged also. The doctor put him on antibiotics, and will check to see if it is reduced in size the next visit, or more tests will be done.

Thank you all for your prayers !

Roy is like shell-shocked right now. "Cancer" is a word a person doesn't want to hear from their doctor.Roy has multiple symptoms, flat kaka, bloating, pain, severe indigestion, etc.
Roy doesn't want to tell anyone, not even the kids, for now. My oldest has been questioning, as she is hearing bits and pieces of Roy and I whispering. I have told her that nothing is going on. She is LD, EH, ADHD, Anxiety disordered, and mildly physically disabled. She was living with her birth father when he died of complications of cancer. She cannot take this, as she will totally lose it.
The middle daughter is the strong one, the toughie. But her soft side underneath her iron clad exterior will go to pieces. Her kids are very close to their grandpa. They absolutely adore him.
My youngest is Roy's baby. Roy has raised her since she was 3 years old. Those 2 are so very close. She will totally freak out. She was devastated when she found out a few days ago, that our neighbor Don, who is Roy's friend, is terminal. Don is a very good, kind hearted man, who everyone likes.
Please include Don in your prayers also, my friends. He doesn't have very much time left on this earth.
I will keep you all updated. This is so hard to take.

I could use some prayer for my daughter who is running the streets and not taking her medication, probably drinking and using drugs. I ask for God's hand to protect her and bring her home and for her brother to stay safe and strong through this as I'm certain that he is struggling emotionally as well.

Always get a second opinion. I have a male cousin who was diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago. For two weeks, he woke up each day believing he had cancer. He received a phone call telling him it was not cancer, but a cyst.

Be very careful with treatment. I have known so many people now who have fought cancer; it's terrifying. ALL of them have eventually died, and I believe it was at least partly due to the treatment.

My cousin who passed away last week, went through over 30 bouts of chemo/radiation. At her death, the main artery in her neck had literally 'rotted' (doctor's words) from the radiation. She was already anorexic to begin with. At one point, she went down to 72 pounds. She actually felt better than she had in a long time on the 19th of September. She had gained a little weight, and just felt halfway decent. She always avoided pictures, but that day she told her family to take all the pictures of her that they wanted to. I believe she knew she was nearing the end :( It was the next day that she started vomiting blood. That night she was put into a medically induced coma. There was nothing left they could do for her. :(

I am honestly really angry right now. I'm angry because I believe there is a CURE, but the money prevents them from putting it out there.

I will encourage my husband to get a second opinion. Sometimes doctors screw up.
My cousin Trudy, who was in her 40's, died of ovarian cancer 6 years ago. Her sister Cindy died of liver cancer 2 1/2 years ago.
I believe they do have a cure for cancer, but the medical field is too greedy for the money they are making off all the cancer treatments.

There is nothing more powerful than the power of prayer. We must pray for all those who are hurting and afflicted with cancer and other medical problems. The Great Physician is the One who has the final say on a diagnoses.
Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!!
