Not including all the other issues with the police, the day has come where a cop's first weapon is the gun, and not words. No negotiating, no waiting period for a response from a drunk depressed person, just killing people in their beds for having a really bad day.
I truly hope that soon we seriously start to not tolerate this. We need cops that are able to think for themselves, not ones that use a defined criteria on when to kill someone.

I have reached the conclusion that the average IQ of cops in the US is about 70, which means many are dumber than that.

The FBI types, the cream of the crop in "Cop World", maybe - though unlikely - get up to an IQ of 90 (BATF cops, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms cops - ala Waco assault, are down in the 70 range with local cops since they are too dumb to be able to get into the FBI).

I thought that it was just a local deal when the dumber kids in my high school, who were bullies too boot, went into law enforcement ... now I KNOW that it extends to the entire US Law Enforcement (including the "scientists ... sheesh look at how the FBI lab has had to admit just "making up" results over a couple of decades in order to convict people!! ... same thing happened with our state crime lab about a decade ago).

It sucks that he was shot and killed but the police were called for a reason. The girlfriend calling the non emergency number has no bearing. A non-emergency call doesn't mean the cops can go into a situation expecting a fun party atmosphere.

That being said the accusation of the cops killing him while laying in bed should be looked into.
