He opposed an independent Bundesbank (German central bank) and planned to control the value of the money himself. You know what happened to all politicians who tried to take the control of the central bank into their own hands. They were assassinated. He was like a bull before and like a castrated dog afterwards. Some called him Napoleon before this incident and after he came out of hospital this very unique vital energy and charisma were gone. This is a very sad story. Yes, of course I am happy he survived, but something very valuable died that day. It was an attack against the German people.
