Surely Baltimore has good cops as well, although it seems that many of those good cops quit after they witnessed that HOAX with Freddy Gray. Good cops don't like it when the govt lies and cheats.

We know that the majority of people living in those areas were not rioting. They had to bring in professionals, and those professionals, and the leadership of Baltimore, gave courage to the criminal element.

Trust me when I tell you there are plenty of people in those communities who hated what was going on, but could do nothing about it.

I'm not sure how old you are, or if you've been having a siesta for the last twenty years, but it's been at least that long since Law enforcement's primary activity has been about getting dangerous bad guys.

There may be many individual cops who still believe their job is what you describe, but the leadership has another goal entirely. Self-perpetuation and self-enrichment.

Their enthusiastic support for the War on Drugs and War on Terrorism are examples of this.

Baltimore police were out of line the way they handled and killed Freddie Grey and that's a fact.

Police all over need to be trained as professionals to deal with specific urban issues.

Those trucks they drive people they arrested in should have seat belts and sides padded to avoid damage. The drivers enjoyed 'bumping' the riders in the back all over the place, it was reported.

Everyone could see Freddie's poor broken leg, they should have called for an ambulance.

All over the USA people are getting killed by police, not just black but white as well. Especially crazy people are killed by police, kids killed by police, women killed by police and even pet dogs (who weren't menacing) are killed by police.

Isn't it time police were trained to handle situations without barking orders at citizen like jackboot SS guards, and to not use their gun as the first resort? If they are afraid, then train them how to talk to people, give them non lethal weapons, make them wear cameras to protect themselves and take away their weapons of war and tanks. They are acting in many times like nazi jackboot thugs. They demand the populace quail and quiver at their every command.

Learn some manners, learn to control their anger. Use non lethal weaponry.

Reward good cops. Support them because they are the type of folks we need in the job.
