Dallas Tx Holy motherfuckin shit!!!

Hi OP, i believe you. I'm trying to determine what you saw. Just hope those lights weren't pre cursor earthquake lights that some ppl claim to see. I hope it was something else. I saw a UFO a few years ago, my daughter saw it too. 3 red lights in a triangle formation, just still in the sky. Then one night, my daughter and i saw something like a torch just turning on, just out of the clouds, it was a summerseve so no storms. As soon as it was there, it was gone. Strange but glad i wasnt the only one to see it. Wonder if you're meant to see them for a reason? Thanks for the post ;-)

I have been through many Lightning storms

Looks like heat lightning to me. I saw it once in florida and thought we were being invaded by aliens then found out it was just a thing called heat lightning.

This is not Lightning. I know what lightning is.

Doesn't seem to directly fit into any of the categories....maybe heat lightning, but that's described as a type that forms on a storm that's too far away - when you see the flash like a sheet but can't hear the thunder due to the distance.

This, however is obviously directly overhead, you can hear crickets but no thunder. Seen something fairly similar to this before, it was usually right before a bad storm developed overhead. Kind of a sudden explosion storm.

Still, it's very beautiful to see :)

This happens quite often this time of year in Bulgaria. If a storm is in the distance but the conditions are right, you can see the lightning above you in a relatively uncloudy sky but here no thunder. However!!!, those flashes looked more or less bang above you and not in the distance. Strange but beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Went outside and saw some lightning in the distance. Checked weather and the chance of rain went up to 100% in the next three hours from 50-65%. Reporting from central Dallas.
