What is the purpose of speaking about Christ with hearts that are not broken by His sacrifice? What is the point of speaking about Christ, without hearts that are filled with His love? Or having hearts that are filled with love for Him, love for His Father, love for humanity? Can we, without love, speak of the wondeful things that Christ has done for us? Can uncircumcised lips preach the Gospel? Can hearts untouched by the love of Christ be made eloquent in the science of the cross? Are not souls won by the power of the Holy Spirit, and the love displayed upon the cross by Jesus Christ, than by logical argument? Is not the love of the Father what wins souls in a dying world back to Him, who gave up His only Dearly Beloved Begotten Son for us, and is willing to give us all things? What is the Christian without love? What is a Christian without love? He is a man speaking, but merely making sounds like a brass instrument. They are as men and women speaking, but merely sounding off as the cymbal. Nothing but mere instruments, sounding off. And not a heart in the world is broken. Not a soul in the world is changed.
