Does gravity really make sense to you?
When the moon is between earth and the sun, why doesn't the sun's gravity pull the moon away from earth?

And when the earth is between the sun and the moon, why doesn't the sun's gravity PLUS the earth's gravity pull the moon violently towards the sun?

And when the space shuttle's main rocket fuel tank runs out of fuel and is released by the shuttle, why does it fall back to the earth while the shuttle supposedly keeps on 'flying' into space?

We obviously need the GLP "scientists" to weigh in on this one ...

I believe "gravity" is caused by the constant pressure exerted by Aether infalling into all particles of matter, but they will just poo-pooh this as pseudoscientific conspiracy.

Re: Does gravity really make sense to you?
When rockets lose their fuel, they are still in the upper part of the atmosphere, haven't actually gone into space where there is no air to fall through.

Gravity is real and makes sense, hence why space ships and satellites can use it to "slingshot" around it.

The moon is a giant body. The earth is a giant body. The moon doesn't get pulled by the sun away from the earth because the moon is also pulling on the earth and the earth pulls on the moon. Tides are generated by this movement and pull.

It seems hard to understand because it seems like we are sitting still when at rest. In reality, we are moving at around 1040MPH depending on location on the planet in relation to the poles. So when you are in your car going 55 down a highway, you are really going 1095 MPH in relation to the universe. However without the gravitational pull of earth caused by the mass and the ratio of the constant spin of the earth, you'd just fly off the planet.

It's all about a sphere spinning with mass, and how matter relates to the mass to create the spinning that makes it a sphere.

Re: Does gravity really make sense to you?
The reason is because you're being lied to. Gravity doesn't make sense to anyone. All scientists can do is expand on preconceived "theories", without any legitimate factual basis to back their claims. Basically it's like this: "Hi, I'm a prominent scientist in this field. This is my theory". Other scientists say "Wow, that's our best scientist, he seems correct. Let's further expand on his theory based on nothing." Then anyone that questions their findings is considered an outcast or a "fool". Science has too much hubris, too much ego. Without being humble, science will never advance to actually help humanity vs. serve a few lab coat scientists and help them get bonuses or raises.

Gravity is a theory. No one understands it. We have all these scientific models, these computer algorithms, all this physics and math, but still scientists know the same as a wild person that lives in the woods his whole like-- and that's nothing.

What they don't know is WHY it is.

Re: Does gravity really make sense to you?
consider the chirality of the ying yang. it is a symmetrically self contained system. it mirrors itself as it flows in a left handed chirality. It remains in balance as it flows in perpetuity. now, examine the left handed chirality of 90% of the smallest particles. then expand that chirality to the Sun and planets. than expand that to the galaxy.

Think of chirality as spin in a freefalling environment. if things fall at a constant rates at a constant chirality to each other; the space between objects is maintained.

imagine it as maintaining your location in a wave. as the wave moves forward you move forward within the wave. the mass of your body is a constant to the mass of the wave constant.

in our solar system the Sun is at the center of the ying yang. the arms of the ying yang represent the solar chirality as waves rotate counter clockwise. the light dark aspects represent day and night within chirality as a secondary aspect.

chirality is an attribute of gravity. chirality is the ubiquitous clue.

Re: Does gravity really make sense to you?
I will try my best to explain this in simple terms.. I will start with an analogy and a simple experiment to help you understand..

You will need a bucket of water, and a ball..

place the ball in the water.. Notice how the ball displaces the water, yet the water conforms around the ball ??

ok now push the ball under the water and hold it there, You will notice the same thing the water molecules seems to conform and encircle the ball..

Well the ball can be considered MATTER and it has MASS meaning it occupies space. And the water molecules can be considered space, made up of (gravitons). Similar to the water pusing on the ball as if trying to push the ball out of existence to reoccupy the space the ball is occupying, its similar to how space pushes against the earth. This force being exerted by space is called Gravity. Space itself is not empty but made up of particles. A theoretical one called a gaviton is the one we will be looking at.

Now unlike the water molecule which has mass. (think of mass as the amount of space displaced) gravitons have a weaker more constant force.. To better explain think of a bottle filled with air that you submerege under the sea. The further down it goes the more crushed it becomes. Well unlike the water molecule, gravitons can be considered a constant. No matter how far you travel the force of remains the same.

Now to understand mass and matter. matter is everything, mass is how much of space the matter displaces. For e.g.

a tsp of material making up the eath might weigh 1 gram. meaning it displaces 1 gram of space. However is you were to take a tsp of a brown dwarf or a neutron star it might weight 1000000000 tons.. That means the same tsp of matter now displaces 1000000000 tons of space.

Gravity is a weak force, its only when you comine and sum it up then it actually becomes useful..

Think of this,, On earth you can walk etc, If you were in space on a small asteroid, you wont even be able to get footing. now we know the asteroid has gravity because it attracts things to it, however its force is so weak because it has so little mass its effects on larger bodies is negligible.,, |
now if you tried to walk on a brown dwarf you will be instantly crushed even before you can get your foot on it. and even if you can some how manage to live and stand on it, your can find yourself weighing TONS..

hope this helps you understand it better.. if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Well to correct that depends on how much pressure you put in the jar and how strong the jar is.. but I am sure you get the point.

Re: Does gravity really make sense to you?
When the moon is between earth and the sun, why doesn't the sun's gravity pull the moon away from earth?
 Quoting: Springbo 53834161

Because the earth-moon distance is miniscule compared to the earth-sun distance, and the moon orbits well within earth's hill sphere.
And when the earth is between the sun and the moon, why doesn't the sun's gravity PLUS the earth's gravity pull the moon violently towards the sun?
 Quoting: Springbo

Again, see above. The moon is constantly "falling around" the earth. It's not far enough from the earth for the gravity of the sun to strip it away or "violently pull it into the earth." That doesn't even make sense. Both the earth and moon are orbiting the sun together.
And when the space shuttle's main rocket fuel tank runs out of fuel and is released by the shuttle, why does it fall back to the earth while the shuttle supposedly keeps on 'flying' into space?
 Quoting: Springbo

It did keep flying in space, I saw it in orbit myself long after the external tank had burned up. Why did it keep going when the ET didn't? Because the ET didn't (and couldn't) perform the OMS-2 burn. At MECO (main engine cutoff) the shuttle is really in a very long sub-orbital trajectory. If they need to raise the apogee point, the point farthest from the planet, they will perform what is called an "OMS-1 burn" right after MECO. Many times that was not necessary (hence the call, OMS-1 burn not required, provided they had a nominal launch and the vehicle performed without a significant underspeed), but they always had to do the OMS-2 burn once the shuttle hit the apogee to raise the perigee point well beyond the Karman line to form a stable circular orbit. Without the OMS-2 burn, the shuttle would fall back to earth before it could complete a full orbit.
