ten years ago I was laid off and could not find another job. jobs were leaving the state. anyhow, I went the bankruptcy route. since then I have had a low credit score. I try to keep it low so that my info is useless to the crooks. I use debit cards instead of credit cards. sometimes I pay my mortgage late so that I get reported to the credit agency's. it may not work for everyone but it works for me.

This is crazy, I been on the phone with Equifax. Someone has been living in a house (in my name) and been paying 2400 a month mortgage since 2013 and never missed a payment.
